LIVE SHOW TRANSCRIPT

Val : Afternoon, ladies, it's House Of Valerie Live Show. It's proper cold now, so we're going for it, and we've launched a very exclusive offer just for our customers. This is how I roll at this time of year. Great big knits. This is the irk. Am I right? Have I said that right? 

Lydia (Off-Camera) : Iklerk.

Val : Iklerk, that's the one. I think they’re calling this Chutney Brown, aren't they? Very strange. It's more like, it's like a burgundy, but with a brown tone to it somehow. And look, it matches the RUNDHOLZ Backside Print perfectly. Do you think they spoke to each other? Yas said that one year,  “do you think the designers speak to each other and say, I'm going to do this trouser. Maybe you should do a knit to match.” Honestly, hilarious, but they may have done on this occasion, because, look, it matches. It's absolutely perfect. And it's just such easy wear, isn't it? Throw a great big knit on top of these trousers. The trousers are a bit of a statement piece. And of course, I've got the SORT AARHUS Clogs on because I live in them. So I'm going to run through quite a lot of LA VACA LOCA pieces, but I'm going to mash it up with other collections, just to show you how I would wear it. Here's our Liesa.

Liesa :  Good afternoon, everybody. I've gone down the formal route I think, Val's going a bit more casual, and I've gone a bit more formal. So I thought I'd start with this beautiful LA VACA LOCA Coat which has got a brocade on it. It's beautiful. Okay, I'm not sure where it's coming across on camera. 

Lydia (Off-Camera) : Yeah it's coming up well.

Liesa : Slightly fitted which is nice. Nice on the shoulders. We've got a little shoulder pads, little collar, and then we've got some frayed edges. The detail is incredible, even off the pockets. That's me, and this is small. I think we've got a little something off the back as well. It really is a beautiful piece. I like to make a bit of a bit more structure in it, like this, really nice. Does have a shorter jacket as well and I'm going to swap into that in one sec. It's fully lined it's beautiful. Did I say I'm wearing? I think I did, but I'm wearing I'm keep looking in the mirror sorry, guys, I'm wearing a small I'd say it's perfect fit. I can still get a jumper underneath little bit of room, but the material, fabric, everything got so much going on with it. It's absolutely stunning. The proper like going out full length coat, warm coat. It's really warm, really, really nice. So I'll just quickly grab the shorter one. This is my favourite piece I think, because I like the little stand up mandarin collar in this. It's gorgeous. So we've got two, like, two different groups of buttons, which is quite different. And we've got your, raw edging going around there. And then we've got, like, big pockets that almost invisible because they just come off the seam. I don't know if I'm explaining this, I'm right, but they finish on the jacket edge, which is really clever. Again, I'm in a small in this. I think this is a size that would be great for me. That’s the back, same fabric so you can layer it up. It's beautiful, really, really lovely. We have got it in the red as well. If we get time, I'll pop the red on as well. But yeah, that's that jacket. Underneath, I’ve got one of the jumpers that have got the long cuffs and thumb holes, which we all love. We've got the, I've just learned from Val ladder. What did you call it ladder? 

Val : It's a ladder knit. Yeah, 

Liesa : I go holey. I like the holey jumpers, but it's a ladder knit. It's so gorgeous. We've got this really long scarf piece that you can either just throw over once or twice.

Val : Is it attached then?

Liesa : Yeah, attached to the neckline, which is very clever. That's that. And then the beautiful trousers that match underneath. They're like a little barrel shape, I think it's got one pleat there pockets. I'm wearing extra small in these, and they are a perfect fit. We've got elastic at the back, and there are nice lengths on me, I think, with my magic boots that I love, SORT AARHUS Boots that have got the toe cap on and the tight leg, that's my first outfit. 

Val : So this is just to show you a second colour in this LA VACA LOCA Knit. It's such a soft, soft. It's like, What's the colour? Oh, it came and it went. It'll come to me, but it's just like a very, very soft brown. 

Lydia : It's a bit mushroomy. 

Val : Yeah, mushroomy. I did have another a mink, mink colour. That's where I was going. And as you can see, it just works with everything. I've put the RUNDHOLZ DIP Trouser on cause this trousers got that many colours running through it. It just literally can't fall out with anything. So it's just to show you a second colour. I'm going to be really quick because Lies isn't quite ready. I'll be really quick to show you a different knit in a different way. Don't worry. Liese, I got this. I got this. I'm coming. Okay, I'm on the way back. So this is another ladder knit, which I love. Let me just put that here. Can you see? So if you wanted to shorten it, this is divine.  Look at it. It's that lovely, boxy shape you've got the ladder knit going through it. It's bit ripped, strategically ripped, which I love. And you can really winter this up with the Scarf that has also got ladder knit going through. It absolutely stunning. There we go. Just love this mink colour. It's one of my favourite colours. Try and hide the label so I will get that front and facing. So if you didn't want a great big knit like I showed before, this is a perfect, absolutely perfect. Sorry, I'm looking in the mirror just making sure I've got it on straight. How's that, ladies? Isn't that fine? And of course, if you put it with black, Hang on. Let me just show it you with the trouser that LA VACA LOCA have done. I might even put this on, but if you wanted to just go all mink, which is very luxurious, I think you can see how it'll look. It's a great pant there we go. Oh, wait till you see our Liese. Oh, my goodness, that's gorgeous. 

Liesa : This is coming up quite big. I am in small but I'm wearing a beautiful SANCTAMUERTE Trouser and Suit Jacket set. Now, what do you call this? Then? This is a brocade, is it or is it?

Lydia (Off-Camera) : It's almost embroidered. 

Liesa : It's like been printed from the reverse on it. It's incredible.

Val (Off-Camera) : Gorgeous colour.

Liesa : Beautiful colour. Got lots and lots of details. We've got pockets. We've got a little standing up collar. I'm looking in the mirror again, little tail coat. 

Jade (Off-Camera) : Sorry. Ignore me. Just serving my lady. 

Liesa : Yeah, put one man down because they're busy in store. 

Jade (Off-Camera) : You see, I'm just so necessary.

Liesa : So busy. 

Val (Off-Camera) : Jade's trying to be important. 

Liesa : Yes, you've been on merchandising. 

Val (Off-Camera) : Can’t see her pulling it off, to be honest. 

Liesa : Second day of merchandising store. So we are in a little pickle, but I'm sure it's all going to come together in the end. Yeah, so that's this one. Sure what this colour's called. I'm going to do my usual and say toffee, but it won't be, you know what it's called, Lyd, what colour? Oh, tobacco. 

Eve (Off-Camera) : I think it's Burned Amber.

Liesa : It is.

Val (Off-Camera) : Oh that's our Eve. She's our newbie.

Liesa : Well done Eve.

Val (Off-Camera) : She’s doing very well aren’t you Eve?

Eve (Off-Camera) : Thank you.

Liesa : I want to call everything toffee, anything warm. This is my favourite top. You're probably all sick of me saying. The one that's cut on the with the extra material on one side and really long sleeves. And then the trousers. I'm in a small. They're a little bit too big but again we've got a little pleat, elastication at the back, barrel leg again, lots of seam details and we've got a button placket as well. Val’s not quite ready. So I'm just going to put on this just to show you. It's gorgeous the LA VACA LOCA Reversible Coat. So nice. If I can get the bottoms under, by the time I’ve undone the buttons Val will be ready. This is wild, I think this was a Jade piece wasn’t it? 

Lydia (Off-Camera) : Zoe says “love the toffee outfit.”

Liesa : Oh see it is Toffee, like a little toffee apple. Love it.

Lydia (Off-Camera) : We’ve got a question “are they suede?” Are we on about Liesa's boots? Or the outfit?

Liesa : So this is the Jacket, we’ve got it in black as well. Oh my gosh. It's just gorgeous. What drama? And let me swing it round quickly and because it’s reversible I’d say it’s slightly shower proof on the outside. So if you were out and worried about it getting wet. Look at that. That's so clever.

Eve (Off-Camera) : Zoe would like to know if this suit is suede?

Liesa : Oh the suit. No. It's a fabric. Quite a heavy cotton fabric. I’ll hold it up in front of the camera. So you can sort of see it. That coming across? Yes. It's like a really heavy cotton washed cotton with pattern in it. It's beautiful. Very clever. Are we ready Val? She's coming. So yeah and this comes in black as well.

Val : I got this outfit together. I'm doing it without a mirror which is never easy, there we go ladies. So this is the LA VACA LOCA Pant I'm in a small. The fabric is the softest thing you could ever imagine. It's absolutely beautiful. It's a jersey fabric, medium weight. That's the cut of it. It's just lovely, very very easy to wear. Really lovely and I've put on with it because I’m just all about knits this time of year to be perfectly honest. This is the ANNETTE GÖRTZ Knit and it's called Cloud and I'm in a medium. I could go down but I always like my jumpers to be quite slouchy. It's this beautiful green. Absolutely stunning and I love the neckline, It's like this stand up, well it's a floppy does its own thing? It's just lovely. I've got the Clogs on because that's what I live in. They're absolutely amazing but again it's just about this time of year for me, just things that are really comfortable that feel lovely I mean these on the skin, they're just insane. They're absolutely gorgeous and they do come in that mink colour as well. I don't know what they’re calling it though LA VACA LOCA Is it the chutney again? What do you call it?

Lydia (Off-Camera) : Er no I think it is something different. Er Dark Taupe. 

Val : Yeah that makes sense. I have to put a little tuck in there because otherwise I'll lose all my leg length. But just gorgeous just very easy winter wear. 

Liesa : This is hardcore just the two of us isn’t it. Because you’ve got to get your boots off to get the clothes on that's an even bigger job. So I’m in SANCTAMUERTE again. Val picked this lovely outfit for me. I love the way you can just pull the Coat in, cinch it in there, but you still got all this room behind so you feel neat but you feel comfy. You can let that go, I think you could tie at the back or you could take it off and tie it all the way round. It's lovely this whole note as well. Again, this is a brocade in like a grey black. This does come in like a warmer colour as well and black which is also nice. Got nice lapels, we’ve got all the fabulous raw edges, Some popper fastenings and big  pockets. Not sure what size I’m wearing but I’ll have a look in a sec but we've got the kimono sleeves, It's just gorgeous. It's very, I mean I like dressy stuff. So Val's gone like casual and I’m like the dressing up queen, wherever I go I’m overdressed. Actually that’s a lie I’m either completely overdressed or you'll catch me running around with my scrags on. I am wearing small in that one. There is a shorter jacket which I'm going to slip on. This is really cute, look at that. Proper fastenings. Got the shorter sleeves with this one, so it is really for style rather than warmth unless you've got your jumper out but yeah. Got pockets in?  Oh yeah. Side pockets. It's very Japanese shape isn't it? Really really gorgeous. Very clever. Tailoring I'd say. Great. Oh I love anything balloon. It's a yeah you can go oversized. You could, you know it, suits all shapes and sizes I think this sort of thing and then underneath I’ve got the LA VACA LOCA, I’ve changed it up. I know it's hard to believe but I've got a different LA VACA LOCA Top on. Let me show you. So this has got like all this ruching across the top rather than down one side. So we've got a straight bottom, sleeves aren't as long but I think the wool again so they're so warm even though they're so fine. They're really really warm and then I've got the trouser on underneath which is some pleats and rather than barrel shape. These are like a wide cropped leg which I love as well. Really really clever tailoring I think. Got elastication at the back and I'm in a small in these. Stuck with the same boots cause that's too much I think I've changed boots. 

Val : So I’ve put the Dark Taupe on. Is that what they’re called? Yeah, the pants on. I love this colour way because I just think it looks really expensive when you put them together. I've got the Ladder Scarf on again. I've really built it all but obviously you could have it,  Jade likes to do it all like this. She likes it to hang low so to speak. So lots of ways to wear it of course and then the jumper, it’s quite clever. I’ve done a little tuck in with me being short legged but the shaping of it is actually really lovely. It's got the raw edges. I think it drops down a little at the back. I'm in a, let me just check, a S/M and we’ve got M/L as well. But it's just a very hand knit isn’t it? It’s gorgeous, I’m very wool sensitive, not as sensitive as Jade, Jade's off the Richter scale. I can wear all the LA VACA LOCA Knitwear and on skin, I live in it in the winter absolutely live in it because of that and because of the quality I put it in a wool wash and it's good to go every time. They just wash and wash and wash. I've got a LA VACA LOCA from years ago literally in that many colours. It's mad but I just love it. It's my absolute go-to and I think these are going to be my go-to as well. They're like your most favourite loungewear they feel that that comfortable. They're absolutely stunning. I've put the brown clogs  on just to bring it all together. There we go. 

Liesa : So yes, let's go red. Now, I've failed with a top underneath because this is what I was looking for and it was here. I've gone for the red and black LA VACA LOCA that is absolutely stunning, a showstopper. I’ve just turned this cuffs over. So we’ve the got the long coat, with the brocade. I'm wearing the small, like I said it's a perfect fit. We've got all your raw edging and It shows up quite a bit more in less colour. Absolutely lovely. The weight is a lovely weight. For a fitted coat. I think you get a lot of wear out of it especially if you go out in the evenings. Proper Christmas piece isn’t? 

Val : The cut is stunning I love it.

Liesa : It is isn’t it and it just sort of skims you In the right places. Yeah. So yeah. I'll just pop the short one on. So this is the boxiest style. Oh yeah I love this. I really like the box shape.

Val : Very, very statement Isn't it?

Liesa : You’ve got your power shoulders, squareness. So that’s the red, this is a proper going out piece this is, Christmas. Pop pockets, very clever, all lined and they just disappear. Isn’t that clever? They sort of sit on the seam that goes around underneath there. So the trousers, just so you can see the fit. They're an extra small, elasticated back. So you've got the comfort of that and then you've got the smartness of having the fitted waistband at the front. Gorgeous. I love them.
