ELEMENTE CLEMENTE
Frequently Asked Questions
ELEMENTE CLEMENTE is known for premium minimalism, relaxed silhouettes and a long-standing focus on more responsible materials and production. The clothes are pared back rather than plain, with fabric, comfort and proportion doing much of the work.
House of Valerie's AW26 edit is a small capsule built around staple pieces. A key style is the Maki trouser, a shape we love in linen for summer and which returns for winter, alongside coordinating shirts and easy separates for relaxed tonal dressing.
TENCEL™ Lyocell is a fibre made from certified or controlled wood sources. Lenzing produces it in a resource-efficient closed-loop process, and the fibre is naturally soft and smooth with moisture-regulating properties. It suits ELEMENTE CLEMENTE's focus on comfortable clothing and lower-impact material choices.
Sustainability is a core part of the brand's material and production story. ELEMENTE CLEMENTE focuses on shorter production routes and considered sourcing rather than treating sustainability as a seasonal message.
It has used European-quality linen from France and Italy for years. That linen is twisted, woven, made up and dyed in Tunisia, with those stages taking place within a relatively compact production area to reduce unnecessary transport.
The Maki is sized 0–5 and we recommend choosing your normal size rather than automatically sizing up or down. As a House of Valerie guide, size 0 is approximately a UK 8 and size 5 approximately a UK 18. Always check the individual garment measurements too.
Some of the more oversized pieces use Roman numeral sizing, typically I–III, rather than the 0–5 scale. This signals a more generous, flexible silhouette. By contrast, styles such as the Maki trouser use the more regulated 0–5 sizing, where choosing your usual size is the better starting point.
Selected AW26 trousers use a partially elasticated waistband: flat at the front for a cleaner finish and elasticated at the back for comfort and flexibility. It gives the ease of a pull-on style without losing the more tailored look from the front.
The matching fabric stories make co-ordinated dressing particularly easy. Wear a Maki trouser with its coordinating shirt for a relaxed head-to-toe look, then break the pieces apart with knitwear, a simple coat or footwear from elsewhere in your wardrobe.
It is a strong choice if you are looking for minimalist designer clothing with comfort, natural-feeling fabrics and sustainability considered from the outset. The shapes are easy enough for everyday wear but still have the proportion and finish that make an outfit feel considered.
