MANUELLE GUIBAL LAYERS & CASHMERE AW26
The first arrivals from MANUELLE GUIBAL Autumn/Winter ’26 have landed at House of Valerie, bringing together everything we love about the Parisian designer’s approach to dressing: beautiful fabric, generous proportion and pieces designed to be layered rather than simply worn alone.
Rich cashmere and fluid silk sit alongside crinkled cotton, relaxed tailoring and softly structured shapes, with the collection moving through a beautifully earthy palette of Black, Bottle, Mud and Noctis.
It’s luxurious, but never overly polished. Instead, the interest comes from mixing fabrics, playing with proportion and building an outfit one layer at a time.

CASHMERE TAKES CENTRE STAGE
There’s no missing the cashmere this season.
The Belted Cashmere Coat is one of the standout pieces from the collection, cut in a long, cocooning silhouette and finished with a simple tie belt that allows you to change the shape depending on how you want to wear it.
It’s the kind of coat that doesn’t need much underneath it. Worn over a cropped trouser and platform boot, the length does all the work.
The cashmere story continues through relaxed Roll Neck Pullovers, scarves, beanies and socks, bringing softness into a collection otherwise defined by contrasting textures and oversized shapes.
We particularly love the pullovers worn with MANUELLE GUIBAL’s wider cotton trousers. The soft knit against the more structured trouser creates exactly the kind of fabric contrast that makes simple pieces feel considered.

BOTTLE, MUD & NOCTIS
The colour palette is one of the things that makes AW26 so easy to layer.
Deep Bottle green works beautifully with the dark Mud brown running through the trousers and outerwear, while Noctis brings a softer alternative to black.
Rather than treating each colour separately, we’d mix them.
A Bottle cashmere pullover with Mud trousers. Noctis knitwear layered beneath brown outerwear. Or a checked scarf pulling several of the season’s tones together in one piece.
It gives the collection a richness without needing bright colour to create impact.

LIGHT LAYERS, EVEN IN WINTER
Not everything in an Autumn/Winter wardrobe needs to feel heavy.
The lightweight Crinkle Cotton Shirts and oversized Henley styles bring a softer layer into the collection, working underneath knitwear, jackets and coats without adding bulk.
The same idea continues with the Silk Mix Trench Coat.
Long, fluid and lightly structured, it gives an outfit movement rather than weight. Layered over knitwear and a wide trouser, it becomes less of a traditional trench and more of another texture within the look.
It’s exactly the kind of piece that makes layering feel interesting rather than practical.

CHECKS, FLORALS & TEXTURE
Print is used sparingly, which makes the pieces that do feature it stand out.
The Checked Cotton Dress takes a familiar shape and gives it volume through a generously gathered skirt, while the dark check keeps it grounded within the AW26 palette.
Then there’s the Floral Jacquard Jacket.
Tonal florals are worked into the fabric rather than sitting loudly on top of it, while frayed edges and a contrasting leather tie belt give the softly structured jacket a more directional finish.
It’s one of those pieces that reveals more detail the closer you look.
We’d wear it simply over dark trousers and a roll neck and let the texture do the talking.

THE FINISHING LAYERS
Scarves, beanies and cashmere accessories might be smaller pieces within the collection, but they’re an important part of the overall look.
The checked wool scarf brings pattern into otherwise tonal outfits, while cashmere scarves and beanies allow the Bottle and Mud colour story to carry through from head to toe.
And then there are the cashmere socks, a tiny detail, but very MANUELLE GUIBAL!
Worn with cropped trousers and substantial footwear, they become part of the outfit rather than something hidden underneath it.
MANUELLE GUIBAL AW26 AT HOUSE OF VALERIE
This first AW26 delivery is really about the way the pieces work together.
A cashmere knit with a wide cotton trouser. A lightweight trench over darker winter layers. A tonal scarf bringing Bottle, Mud and Noctis together. Softness against structure, luxury against something deliberately relaxed.
Nothing needs to be styled too perfectly.
That’s where MANUELLE GUIBAL works best, pieces with enough character to stand alone, but even better when you start layering them your own way.
