LIVE SHOW TRANSCRIPT

Yas: Not necessarily. Excuse me! You made me jump! I’ve just coughed and I can’t move, I’m quite restricted because you’ve styled my scarf!

Jade: She has to stand there like that for the last 12 minutes.

Yas: I can’t move my arms, Jade!

Jade: She has done this thing where she has sneezed with a scream and every time she does it, I could punch her face, she makes me jump up in the air like—

Yas: And I hiccup very loudly as well.

Jade: Oh, they’re reverse hiccups. She goes, "Whoop!"

Val: Like a donkey.

Jade: Like a donkey. Anyway, hello ladies!

Yas: Hello!

Jade: We just wanted to celebrate you, with you. I’m sure you know this, but the pre-order for RUNDHOLZ went live last night.

Yas: Naughty.

Jade: I’m struck by the amount of RUNDHOLZ fans out there. Oh, you girls! Well, I didn’t go to sleep until 4:00 this morning because I just had to watch our online because it was just unprecedented. And I can’t tell you how it makes us feel because when we go buying, it’s quite tortuous, you know, you—I mean, on this occasion we just loved everything, didn’t we? The Colours, the vibrancy, the styling, it was just—the fabrics, it was just honestly insane. And so we have to make our picks because we can’t have everything, I mean, we nearly did, but—

Yas: We absolutely have to.

Jade: We should share the video, actually, of the E-com team. Yeah, they—for our staff party this year, we all did videos taking the mick out of the directors, basically. And we posted the one of Little Minnie being Grandma, but actually, the E-com did—this is specific to this situation—because they did one of us doing the edit for the RUNDHOLZ buy, and it’s—it’s class. They absolutely get it right. The fact that basically, we’re all arguing because we all want everything.

Val: Oh, well you can imagine, with three very different dresses, you know, we like different things. And we’ve obviously got you guys in mind as well. And that whole cooking pot of things we’ve got to consider turns into—I can only describe it as a bunfight, because, you know, and I—I use this line, "You know, I know what the ladies like, the classic RUNDHOLZ ladies, we need to buy this," and these two are going, "No! No, no, no, no, no!" And then I’m going, "Jade!" and she’s going, "Mom!" and Yas is the mediator. She’s honestly the mediator.

Jade: No, she’s not, she’s the fencey! I know that Yas agrees with what I’m saying, but she sits there silently and doesn’t back me up, so then I have to go into full war with Mother, and Yas is like, "Well, yes, she’s right, we—we can’t have those, we just can’t, we just can’t." And I’m like, "Obviously we can’t have those in our shop," and Mom’s going, "Your shop? My shop! Oh, don’t you remember that I found this business?" Yeah, but we have a lovely time!

Val: Anyway, when the pre-order goes live, it’s like the—the—what’s the word?

Yas: The fruit of our loins.

Jade: The fruit of our loins! Will you shut up! It’s the lovely confirmation that you agree with us that our choices have been right, because we have had—I mean, seriously, it is insane, it’s unprecedented, the number of orders that we’ve had. You literally love it. The other thing that you’ve done as well, because of course you can hit "notify me" when it comes back into stock, so if it’s not there now, you press that, and that tells us by the number of "notify me's," it gives us our list of orders for RUNDHOLZ, sort of additional—

Jade: Yeah, if we can reorder or get something reproduced, then that’s what we refer to. I’m going to take this off, Jade, so don’t knock me!

Yas: I think we should do something fun and say what we each ordered and what we’re most looking forward to.

Jade: That would be a lovely idea, Yas, but I can’t remember!

Yas: I can, she’s ordered everything!

Val: My favorite of ever is the chalk stretchy jacket, the short one with all the—it’s got all the ruching! I love ruching. It’s like this—this will ruche. See that detail there? See that detail? I—I love that kind of detail. If this was my jacket, I would tie that off and I’d probably cut those down—I don’t want the hangy bits because I’ll get them caught on things.

Yas: And they’re all—I don’t know if you remember—but they’re adjustable on the inside, so you can wear it relaxed or you can wear it super-ruched, which affects the length.

Val: They do a white one—I thought you meant this—the chalky white one. So that—that’s stuck in my mind as an absolute winner with—

Yas: I’ve got a few. I feel like my list—

Jade: I’ve got the iPad by the way, the device, in case you want us to answer any questions about any particular pieces. So I’m—that’s why I’m here.

Val: What—what I would say as the—

Jade: Hang on, we’ve got a query! We are being asked, "When will the new stock arrive in store, beauties?"

Yas: The first delivery is set to arrive on my birthday, 29th of January!

Jade: Yes! And then it comes in every week from that point onwards for the next three months. All the shipping schedules will be updated to the profiles. Girls are currently working on that, yeah, on the product. So you’ll be able to see exactly when your item is expected in.

Val: It’s never on time.

Jade: Yeah, sometimes it’s early, sometimes it’s later, so it’s a rough indicator.

Val: The—sorry, I was just going to say—the Colours, like WHITE is bright WHITE, it literally—you need sunglasses, it’s stunning. And that SEAFOAM! And the—and the Colours, honestly now, I’m desperate for summer, I’m literally desperate, it’s so gorgeous.

Val: What have you ordered?

Yas: A lot!

Val: So, close your eyes, Val!

Val: I was just saying, ladies, I asked for their—what they’d had from Autumn/Winter, because I need to know. I can’t get the list off them! Isn’t that funny?

Yas: I think it’s an investment in the business. If we walk the streets looking a bag of shears, we just wouldn’t be doing our job, would we? Right, so—I’ll do my list, I’ll do my list, sorry, back to you. So I really couldn’t decide this year between MAINLINE or DIP, usually I’m one or the other, or a little bit of this, a little bit of that. The MAINLINE and the DIP, though, are completely different, so I felt like I couldn’t do one without not doing the other, because they’re both so incredible in their own way. I have been smart, though, and budgeted! I’ve gone full 1-gene!

Val: My backside!

Yas: I have! In each Colour!

Val: No!

Yas: Maybe two! But both in the PAPER CHALK—so MAINLINE WHITE is called PAPER CHALK. SEAFOAM from DIP is the WHITE. And both of them in the denim are exactly the same tone, so if you wanted to mix and match in your collect—through—in both those collections, the WHITE denim is the way to go because it is the same. So I’ve probably—

Val: They are chalky as—they’re just so special, they’re absolute fabulous.

Yas: The little cropped denim jackets from RUNDHOLZ DIP, puff sleeves, little button detail at the back—I don’t know why I turned around!

Jade: You just don’t know where the back is!

Yas: I’m just no use!

Val: We were doing that with Minnie yesterday, weren’t we? And she absolutely floored Jade and I because we’re doing the "Where’s your ears? Where’s your nose?" We’re teaching her nostrils, we’re going into—and she went, "Grandma, where’s your clack?" Pointing down there, clack! It’s the back of the throat!

Jade: Yeah, but I don’t think it’s a real thing. I think it’s just a family thing.

Val: Help me out here!

Jade: Yeah, in our family that’s what we call it, but I don’t think that’s actually a thing.

Val: It’s that wriggly bit at the back of your throat!

Jade: No, that’s tonsils, isn’t it? No, that bit that hangs down? Yeah, I don’t know what that’s called!

Val: Ladies, we call that a clack! Our better educated ones, please let us know what that bit is called!

Jade: Clack! Jill’s going to shout up in a minute. Jill’s Googling now, she really is!

Yas: Also! I think you get that because when you—you go, "Whoo-whoo-whoo-whoo!"

Jade: That’s not called a clack!

Yas: Also, the printed pieces—love them! The floaty dress is my absolute favorite.

Jade: Oh yeah, the—was it cup—no—no.

Yas: She was there though, yeah, I promise, she did come with us. No, you know the—the printed—I saw myself online last night, it was so weird, because I’m not usually pictured, am I? And I was watching what everybody was buying and it was like, "Oh, I know that customer, oh yeah, I would have imagined she’d have had—" And then I saw myself and nearly fell out of bed. I was doing it in bed because it was late. I nearly fell out of bed! I didn’t know I was on there! But you looked alright, I was like, "Get in!"

Yas: You really like the CUPRO pieces, the floaty from the DIP.

Jade: The one that I’m talking about is CUPRO, I think, but it’s printed. It’s the main image on the website, you know, the big floaty?

Yas: Oh yeah, yeah.

Jade: It wasn’t CUPRO! It was like a—it was lightweight, yeah, but it was slightly textured when you touched it. It wasn’t CUPRO.

Yas: Lydia, a slight textured fabric for that dress please!

Jade: I want to hear the word CUPRO! Oh, another question! The other one was the printed pastoral—like printed DIP jacket. Lisa and I have ordered it, it’s a sneaky one, we’ve not actually photographed it in store—when we were there. We found it later, and it’s—you know my leopard print jacket that I have from RUNDHOLZ? My favorite ever jacket in the world? It’s that cut and it’s delicious!

Val: What’s the print?

Yas: It’s like a seaweed print, so it’s got all the like pastoral scenes on it.

Jade: Oh, so exciting, as you can gather!

Yas: VISCOSE!

Jade: VISCOSE, yes, that makes sense. It’s like silky, isn’t it?

Yas: Yeah, but it’s not the CUPRO, it’s—it’s—I remember the texture. What were your favorites, Jade?

Jade: Well, actually, I’ve completely changed. Yeah, so when we were there, I was absolutely taken away by the DIP because it’s so romantic, which is very me, you know, quite romantic, girly, and then with sort of—[INAUDIBLE]

Yas: Who’s seen that version of Jade? I’ve not seen it for a while!

Jade: Like ethereal. Jade is GUCCI, Harry Styles. Harry Styles!

Yas: That’s how I dress! Like Harry Styles!

Jade: Like very fashion with a bit of like vintage GUCCI influence. So often I gravitate towards this kind of situation with like a floaty tucked-in top.

Yas: Yeah, no, I know that.

Jade: I think the feminine, the girly bit threw her, I don’t know. I don’t know why she’s laughing. Anyway, go on Jade, I’m sorry.

Yas: Whoo-whoo-whoo!

Jade: I’m Harry Styles in a morning! I’m really feminine! It’s a juxtaposition, exactly like Harry Styles! Yeah, I don’t know—I can’t believe you don’t know that I’m Harry Styles! Obviously! Go on, go on, stay—she takes every opportunity to have a bloody go! Oh, well I’m a bit lost now. Oh, that’s it, that’s what I said. Yeah, so I was immediately drawn to the romance. I feel it’s a little bit MAGNOLIA PEARL in some respects.

Yas: Very much, yeah.

Jade: Cowboy, Texas, kind of—you’ll see. Anyway, in a very RUNDHOLZ kind of way, obviously. So I’ve ordered quite a bit of that, all a bit random though because I really struggled with my order, so I just ordered everything! I thought that was the best thing to do.

Yas: It’s a good job you budgeted, then!

Jade: Yeah, I was being economical! I’ll take your budget and do mine! My backside! And then with the MAINLINE—oh! You ordered a SUEDE top! I remember that.

Yas: I did order a SUEDE top, yeah. Anything with a big price point, I just think, "That could be me, that’s for me!"

Jade: I think I’ve ordered that, haven’t I?

Yas: Yeah, I think you have, Lisa! And it’s ORANGE, isn’t it? It comes in ORANGE, don’t worry, I’ve ordered ORANGE.

Jade: Oh, but I went for CREAM. Right, did you have another query?

Jade: I have, I’ve got Angel Vintage asking, "Is the DIP jumper in the LINEN Colour very warm? It’s made of knitted silk with frayed edges."

Yas: Oh, that had lots of interest last night!

Jade: Yes, it is—the—it’s very soft.

Val: It’s like what Minnie wore—

Jade: She doesn’t mean thermally, does she mean from a Colour point of view?

Val: No, I think she means thermally.

Jade: It is very warm. It is warm because I wore mine as a jacket last year, didn’t I? Over it—the silk, yeah, with the—when we wore that in the summer, because obviously we buy the summer in high summer, it was like July/August, we were absolutely baking.

Yas: But there is a holy silk jumper which is very light, not warm, if you want a really lightweight jumper.

Jade: It’s barely there. It’s more of an accessory because it’s obviously not doing anything, but it’s so gorgeous, especially in the sky.

Jade: I do have another. Catherine is asking, "BLUE and whitish long jacket, will there be trousers to match?"

Val: There are.

Jade: I don’t think we ordered them. They do exist, I think we thought it would be too much. Depends what jacket she means. If it’s the floaty one, then we thought it would be too much and we thought a WHITE pant or yeah, just a plain BLUE. Although, if you like it in the MONOCHROME, we did order a pant in a slightly different fabric that worked with it in the print, so you can do print-and-print in BLACK and WHITE, but we didn’t do the BLUE and WHITE in a full suit because we thought that was a bit—

Yas: Are we talking CUPRO? If we’re talking CUPRO. If we’re talking denim, although I feel like you’d have said "gene" or "denim" if you were talking about—

Jade: I think we did a SKY trouser in CUPRO.

Yas: Yeah, but not WHITE with the print.

Jade: We didn’t do—I’m impressed by your memory! We didn’t do the print, the WHITE with the BLUE from MAINLINE, spray paint.

Yas: Oh, MAINLINE!

Jade: We haven’t done BLUE spray paint trousers. No. Because we thought it’d be too much. Sorry, I was in DIP. Am I on the right outfit there? Do let me know.

Jade: Also I have Katharina sending you some greetings from Switzerland!

Yas: Hi, thanks Katharina!

Jade: I’ve got my iPad but I’ve not needed it yet! So tonight, we thought we’d do a really swift show and just show you some of the RUNDHOLZ sale pieces and PLU pieces that are still available in the sale, very strong pieces. We’ve managed to get more of this trouser, which we’ve been able to do at half price. It’s amazing, it’s incredibly stretchy. I’m an Extra Small—I am not an Extra Small, so technically I’ve gone down two sizes, so bear that in mind. I’ve put a little turn-up at the bottom because I just want a bit of ankle out. It is really, really stretchy, it’s got this gorgeous pocket detail.

Yas: I think that Colour would go with SEAWEED from DIP.

Val: It’s a gorgeous trouser. I’m scared to do an outsize, definite.

Jade: No, take mine! There’s two Colours, but there’s very little difference in them. What was the two Colours?

Yas: So there’s LAGOON, which mine is, and PINE.

Jade: It kind of makes no odds because they’re very, very, very similar.

Val: Well, yeah, PINE and LAGOON. You’ll see on pictures they’re the same, but fantastic trouser. I can’t tell you how comfy it is, proper stretchy, pockets—this is the matching jacket, LAGOON Medium. This is greener to me, slightly greener. See, that bit matches Yas’s jacket. See there? Just that bit. Otherwise, gorgeous, absolutely gorgeous trouser. I love this pocket, I think it’s so cool. So if I was going to—like when you start to transition to slightly warmer weather, I’d put a jumper on with it, tuck that in there so you get to see the pocket. It’s just uber, uber cool. Really cool. Great trouser, honestly love, love it.

Yas: And we’ve got the same jacket on actually, so I’ll de-layer. This is DUMGORE, Val’s tied it beautifully to the side. The Colour works fab with this LAGOON jacket. And yeah, they are literally the same pieces that we’ve got on. Val’s gone in the PINE, I’m in the LAGOON light. I think this is the last one left, and it’s an Extra Small. They are a very stretchy denim.

Jade: I love that Colour bit there on the pocket! Yeah, it’s gorgeous, isn’t it?

Val: This is a Large by the way. I do know I can get in the Medium, but the Large is okay too. So it just depends how neat you want it.

Yas: The denim is just very different for the summer, it feels—this is very grungy and very RUNDHOLZ, but for the summer, the denim is still as gorgeous and soft and stretchy, similar to these pieces, but kind of completely different at the same time. Very summer! You’ve got romantic puff sleeves and all the added detail.

Jade: The ruching in the MAINLINE was really special, wasn’t it?

Yas: Gorgeous!

Jade: But then also the puff sleeve in the DIP was really special. But I kind of feel like you’ve got to do both.

Yas: I like both!

Jade: They’re completely different looks. That ruchiness, as you said, is a bit VIVIENNE WESTWOOD, and the croppy one was really cool, wasn’t it?

Val: They did it a few years ago. Do you remember, Jill, with the comic pictures on? And they had drawstrings in it? You had that jacket! Oh, honestly, loved it. That’s because you put it through the wash and ruined it!

Val: What I did, I put it on a really hot—the comic pictures came off! I didn’t wash it properly. Oh, I’m so gutted, I’m understated. Being little, being able to ruche it up to a place that works for me, and also if you’ve got, you know, if you’re carrying a bit of muffin top, they all disappear because it’s all behind the ruching! So it doesn’t matter what size you are.

Yas: It’s very flattering. I think we all—we have all been photographed in that same jacket, including Lisa, and it’s the same size, yeah, a size Small in the sample pieces, and all four of us. I can’t wait to get my hands on it!

Jade: We have got a question. Another question from Angel Vintage: "The WHITE—I think she might mean MAINLINE—but the WHITE DIP trousers with the big graffiti print oversized? Wondering if I would need a Small or Medium as not sure how much give is in there as they are denim."

Yas: They’re big.

Jade: Do Small. Small, yeah. Go on the same sizing as last year’s pieces, and I know you said that the Medium were too big, so go for the Small. And I think it’s hard to say until they arrive, but that’s how the samples came, yeah, definitely. Right, let me just quickly tell you what I’ve got on because we have got to go!

Val: Why is that, Jade?

Jade: Sunbed, Mom! I’m going for a sunbed! I’ve booked it four times and I’ve not got there yet! This is 2101 in BLACK by PLU, nice croppy, swingy, it’s now covered in sun fluff, but just ignore that. Then I’ve got on my bow bag, which is my own. And then these trousers are so, so cool, and I thought if there’s any kind of pieces that you should think about buying now ready for the summer when they’re half price less 10%, they’re an absolute bargain. These are a lightweight cotton trouser, these are going to be pretty much exactly the same as the summer ones, so they’re a real investment because they are literally the TECHNO FABRIC. Look! So elasticated! These are an Extra Small, which fit beautifully apart from this little muffin top I’ve created here, which is because I’m really bloated. Mom says, "You’re not bloated, you’re fat!" Did she? She’s said that! That makes me sound terrible! You are, you’re so evil! She’s just—I’m so bloated, and Jade—this is Jill and I, we just look at each other and my theory is called fat! Anyway, can I just ask one more question, because Cass has asked this twice, "Are the trousers in the—the same sizing as Winter trousers?"

Jade: Yeah. Yeah. All done! We’ll do a proper little video where we sit in a nice aesthetic corner and drink pretend coffee—it’s not pretend, it’s real—and talk about the collection.

Yas: Yeah, a bit more in-depth.

Jade: Oh, and the lookbooks! The lookbooks are now ready to dispatch, so if you have ordered them, they’ll be sent tomorrow, and they’re going to be uploaded on the website as well, digitally tomorrow, to give you some views digitally. Yeah, I believe—I think MAINLINE’s on already, we’re just working through RUNDHOLZ DIP and BLACK LABEL.

Jade: Thank you for tuning in, ladies! Have a fantastic evening and we’ll see you tomorrow! Bye!

Yas: Bye!

Jade: Send your condolence cards because Mom’s so mean!
