HOUSE OF VALERIE
RUNDHOLZ FABRIC GUIDE
RUNDHOLZ is known for its innovative fabrications and considered construction, but one of the brand’s strengths is how wearable and practical many pieces are. With the right care, your garments will maintain their shape, texture, and colour for years to come.

RUNDHOLZ FABRIC GUIDE
EVERYDAY CARE
Most RUNDHOLZ pieces are designed to be low-maintenance and machine-wash friendly. In general, we recommend following these core care guidelines:
- Machine wash cold (30°C)
- Do not bleach
- Do not tumble dry
- Do not iron or iron on low heat
- Suitable for dry cleaning if preferred
However, some pieces are hand wash only, particularly those made from more delicate or specialist fabrics. Always check the individual garment label before washing.
HOUSE OF VALERIE FABRIC CARE
SILK & DELICATE FABRICS
For silk garments and other delicate materials, extra care is required — particularly when drying.
Avoid drying silk in direct sunlight, as prolonged exposure can affect the colour of the fabric. In some cases, this may lead to lightening or uneven fading. We recommend air drying in a shaded, well-ventilated area to preserve the integrity of the piece.

SPRING/SUMMER '26
WHITE DENIM
This Spring/Summer '26 RUNDHOLZ features white denim in the MAINLINE and DIP collections and we’ve found these pieces respond exceptionally well to washing.
TOP TIP:
Place your white denim inside a white pillowcase before putting it in the washing machine. This helps protect the fabric from any residual dirt or grime that may sit around the rubber seal of the machine — preventing transfer marks when removing your garments.
HOUSE OF VALERIE FABRIC CARE
RACCOON & FOX-HAIR KNITWEAR
RUNDHOLZ often works with luxurious fibres such as raccoon and fox hair, creating exceptionally soft, lightweight knitwear. These pieces require a more delicate approach to care.
WASHING
- Hand wash only in cold water (max 30°C)
- Use a mild detergent suitable for wool or delicate fibres
- Avoid rubbing, wringing, or scrubbing
- Gently agitate water and keep soaking time minimal
These knits typically do not need frequent washing — airing between wears is often enough.
DRYING
- Do not tumble dry
- Gently press out excess water using a towel (do not twist)
- Lay flat to dry and reshape while damp
- Keep away from radiators or direct heat
MAINTAINING TEXTURE
- A soft, fluffy halo is natural to these fibres
- After washing, fibres may appear flatter—this is normal
- Once dry, gently shake or lightly brush to restore texture
STORAGE
- Fold rather than hang to avoid stretching
- Store in a cool, dry space
- Use natural moth repellents such as cedar

LEATHER SPECIALIST CARE
LEATHER & SUEDE
RUNDHOLZ often incorporates leather and suede into their collections. These materials require specialist care:
- Use professional leather cleaning services only
- Avoid water-based cleaning methods
- Keep away from direct heat sources, which can cause drying, cracking, or distortion
Proper handling will ensure longevity and maintain the natural finish of these materials.
