PLU
Learn More About PLU
Some collections are designed around a particular season. PLU feels as though it's designed around everyday life.
Nothing is overly styled or overcomplicated. A relaxed knit sits naturally with softly cut trousers. A textured scarf finishes an outfit without feeling like an accessory that was added as an afterthought. Even the jewellery follows the same approach, becoming part of the look rather than competing with it.
At House of Valerie, we're always drawn to designers who create wardrobes rather than individual outfits. That's exactly what PLU does. Every piece feels complete on its own, but together they create a collection that's easy to return to again and again.
A New Name With A Clear Purpose
PLU is one of the newer designers within the House of Valerie collection, founded in Germany in 2021 by Denise Frölich.
Although the label is relatively young, the philosophy behind it is refreshingly clear. Denise wanted to create clothing that felt authentic, comfortable and uncomplicated, moving away from fast-changing trends in favour of pieces that women would genuinely enjoy wearing.
Rather than designing for a particular age or style, PLU focuses on the individual. The collections are intended to adapt to the woman wearing them, allowing personality to come through without the clothes ever feeling overworked.
It's a thoughtful approach that has shaped the brand from the very beginning and continues to define every collection today.
More Than Feeling Comfortable
Comfort is often talked about in fashion, but PLU approaches it differently.
Here, comfort isn't simply about soft fabrics or relaxed fits. It's about creating clothing that allows women to feel like themselves. Nothing feels restrictive, overly formal or designed to be worn in just one way. Instead, the collection gives you the freedom to dress instinctively, choosing pieces because they feel right rather than because they follow a trend.
At House of Valerie, we think that's one of PLU's greatest strengths. The clothes have an ease about them, but they never lose their sense of purpose. They allow the wearer to take centre stage rather than asking the clothing to do all the talking.
One Piece Leads To Another
One of the pleasures of discovering PLU is that it rarely stops with a single purchase.
A favourite knit naturally leads to a pair of trousers. The trousers work effortlessly with another top. Before long, a scarf or a piece of jewellery finds its way into the wardrobe too. Nothing feels overly matched, yet everything sits comfortably together.
That isn't by chance. Denise Frölich has designed PLU as a collection of individual pieces that quietly support one another. There are no complicated styling rules and no pressure to wear everything together. Instead, each addition builds on what came before, allowing wardrobes to grow naturally over time.
It's something we see often at House of Valerie. Customers don't replace their wardrobe with PLU. They gradually make room for it.
PLU at House of Valerie
PLU brings a relaxed way of dressing to House of Valerie, but never at the expense of thoughtful design.
The collection offers the sort of clothing that quickly becomes part of everyday life. Not because it demands attention, but because it works so effortlessly alongside the pieces people already own. It's thoughtful without feeling complicated, contemporary without chasing trends, and designed with real women in mind.
For us, that's what makes PLU such an easy collection to recommend. It doesn't ask anyone to reinvent their style. It simply offers well-designed clothing that fits naturally into it.
