LIVE SHOW TRANSCRIPT

Val : Good evening. I hope you're all doing really well. Bit excited today because I went, was sorting out the shop ready for the new deliveries and you come across things that you've completely forgotten about. And I said I can't wait for the show tonight because I've seen pieces, honestly, feel bloody great. Look at that. So I've got the FRIDA ZAZOU Pant on. They're wool, but not itchy. Although saying that, I know how uber uber sensitive Jade is because they're not lined, she might struggle with them. I'm sensitive but these do not bother me. These are a Large. I think they're the last pair. We've got them in Navy as well. Look at the shape of these. They're just amazing. I absolutely love them. They're all elasticated. Really easy to wear. The Large fit me. I probably could go down to a Medium, but I like this nice wide leg. I think they're absolutely stunning. This is the FRIDA ZAZOU Waistcoat. Loving this. This is a Large as well. And this is the ZILBERMAN Coat, which for me, honestly, look at that. It's a wow. An absolute wow. Proper wool coat. Press stud buttons. This is a Size Zero. Is it the last one? Can somebody just have a look for me? Probably is. But look at that. What a shape. Absolutely, I love how it kind of comes forward so it's quite flattering even though it's a big oversized coat.

Jade (Off-Camera) : It looks like a three-piece suit that. It looks like it's made for each other.

Val : It's gorgeous, isn't it?

Jade (Off-Camera) : Yeah.

Val : Just for contrast, I put the LOFINA Boot on in this gorgeous color.

Jade (Off-Camera) : Okra we've decided to describe it as. Okra.

Val : Okra. Yeah. It picks up the buttons. It's a great colour. And if you don't want to be all in Black, which I must admit, I like a block colour, but when I put these on I thought no, I would go to this colour for this outfit. I think it's amazing. Now I'm going to take one for the team.

Jade (Off-Camera) : Ooh steady.

Val : I know. I'm getting me arms out. Oh ladies, I've reached that age. Can I just pass my coat? I think I want to put it on pretty sharpish. Yeah. I've reached that age love.

Jade (Off-Camera) : You know what? Do they work? Do the arms work? Do they pick things up?

Val : Do they work? Look at that for an outfit. Oh you can see my bra at the side. Definitely... anyway. I've got a very high bra on instead of a low bra. But look at that. I think it creates such a lovely, lovely look. And then of course, would you just pass me me AEQUAMENTE Jacket on the rail just there. I'm just showing different looks.

Yas (Off-Camera) : Oh yeah yeah. Got you.

Val : In fact I might do all my looks in one go.

Paula (Off-Camera) : AEQUAMENTE?

Val : You just hold the... No, there's an AEQUAMENTE scrunched up jacket. Really playing now. I love this. You know when we just experiment. Isn't there an AEQUAMENTE Black jacket?

Paula (Off-Camera) : Oh yeah. Got it now. Yeah. Got it.

Val : Oh no. I think we're clashing looks now.

Jade (Off-Camera) : Yeah. You've done something here Yas and it's...

Val : Yeah. Not for me.

Jade (Off-Camera) : It was not the love child of those two brands.

Val : No.

Jade (Off-Camera) : It was not.

Yas (Off-Camera) : But I thought, yeah, the colour works with the boots.

Jade (Off-Camera) : Yeah. That's about all that worked.

Val : Oh the label's gone up the sleeve.

Jade (Off-Camera) : Also...

Val : Yeah. I'd have to take this off for this to work.

Jade (Off-Camera) : Yeah. It's a bit neat.

Val : Yeah. No. I'll show that. If you imagine it without the waistcoat. Do you see what's happening now? It's a great look the way it's all with the trouser. Do you agree?

Jade (Off-Camera) : Yes.

Val : Love that. Just ignore the waistcoat now. And then would you pass me the MANUELLE GUIBAL Coat?

Jade (Off-Camera) : Are you going somewhere?

Val : I just wanted to show all my looks.

Jade (Off-Camera) : Have you got a date at Edwards or something? What's going on?

Jade (Off-Camera) :  If you take your trousers off...I'm off.

Val : You've seen me pants many a time Jade.

Jade (Off-Camera) : Yeah. You worried about your arms? Getting 'em on the floor.

Val : Look at this ladies. I'm telling you now. If this doesn't... it's not right with the boots I totally appreciate that.

Jade (Off-Camera) : No. Ew.

Val : You'd have Black boots on. But look at this jacket. If this doesn't sell, I absolutely promise you they'll go home with me tomorrow.

Jade (Off-Camera) : Yas says that'd look better on her outfit so she's gonna rob that.

Val : Would it? Yeah well you should show it with, yeah.

Jade (Off-Camera) : Just wait for Yas. Yas has come back from Belfast Irish so that's the first weird thing about her.

Val : Belfast. Honestly. I used to work in Belfast. I am so fond of the Northern Irish clan.

Yas (Off-Camera) : I said, if I stayed any longer I would have fallen in love.

Jade (Off-Camera) : Oh my god.

Val : Well you do. Their accent is...

Yas (Off-Camera) : I couldn't help it. I feel like I'm drawn to them.

Val : Beautiful people. You do fall in love with Northern Ireland.

Jade (Off-Camera) : Can we also include the Southern Irish?

Val : Well I've never been to Southern Ireland. I'm sure it's just as gorgeous but I'm just particularly fond of the Northern Ireland contingency. I ran a team of area managers and I was just saying they were such fun. They were little buggers. I used to hold meetings and if they didn't want me to really know what had gone on for the month, they talked really fast. And I'd be going, "Stop! What are you doing?" And they'd go [mumbles]. Anyway. There you go. What do we think about that?

Jade (Off-Camera) : Anyway. So yeah. Yas is Irish now and now it also looks like she's brought some homework with her today. She's done a little bit of artwork.

Val : This is MANUELLE GUIBAL by the way.

Jade (Off-Camera) : You’ll see what I mean in a minute.

Val : Excuse me?

Jade (Off-Camera) : Sorry. Don't forget... I'm bored.

Val : How rude. Well there you go.

Jade (Off-Camera) : Don't let Yas do an Irish accent for god's sake.

Val : I'm still showing off. I think that's gorgeous. Would you agree?

Jade (Off-Camera) : You've been wearing this ensemble for the last ten minutes.

Val : Oh. Okay. Yassy come on.

Jade (Off-Camera) : Oh. Yas has been busy. 

Yas : I haven't. I haven't created this.

Jade (Off-Camera) : By Yas age 27.

Yas : I'd be very proud. This is some fine artwork here.

Jade (Off-Camera) : Oh here we go. It started.

Yas : I can't stop. Yeah. I'm not gonna start stalling now cause this is too important. This is very exciting news. Everyone look at me. I'm so excited. Okay. So, today for the first time we have launched the first of the previews for the RUNDHOLZ SS26 preorder. Woo!

Val (Off-Camera) : Woo!

Yas : And I'm holding this because we were sent this by Mr RUNDHOLZ himself a few months ago and it's just so incredible. And I've been waiting to get this out. I've literally had it in a box tucked away neatly in the studio. And it's absolutely incredible. It just shows kind of the inspiration behind MAINLINE. It's not Jaws. Nothing really to do with sharks to be honest.

Jade (Off-Camera) : No. When we saw this we were a little bit like, okay, so are we going down like an aquamarine theme? But actually... there's a few animals, yes, but they're not all sharks. We have a giraffe.

Yas : I wouldn't even mention the animals. For me the collection is more so about the spray painting.

Jade (Off-Camera) : Yeah.

Yas : And that kind of like graffiti streetwear kind of influence.

Jade (Off-Camera) : Yeah.

Yas : Which is really wild. Some pieces are... I mean I don't know which one's my favourite. No I do. It's DIP. DIP is my favourite. But I do really like the MAINLINE. They've got some really strong colours. They've got Black and White, so you can do this monochrome look or you can inject some bright Red, bright Blue, or Light Blue as well. So it's a fun one.

Jade (Off-Camera) : And a lot of White with those colours like cause the spray paint changes colour but the White stays as is. So White and Red, White and Blue. And Yas is absolutely right, the animals aren't the kind of where the focus is. There are pieces that have got animals on. We've not bought any of those cause we kind of don't go down that fun... We don't like fun here.

Yas : No.

Jade (Off-Camera) : We like the more serious pieces. We want the more scary items.

Yas : Yeah. But I mean it's a really great indicator of what the spray paint pieces do look like because they are all hand spray painted.

Jade (Off-Camera) : Yeah. So you get all of this excess, you know, it's not perfect. It's supposed to be quite rugged.

Yas : Yeah. When we saw RUNDHOLZ at the showroom last time, he literally had spray paint and paint just caked on his arm cause he was obviously still working on the collection at that point. So I just think it's really amazing to know that each piece has been hand treated.

Jade (Off-Camera) : Hand sprayed.

Yas : Hand sprayed. So yeah that MAINLINE. We will be releasing more little teasers as...Thank you. As the week goes on. But yeah MAINLINE for me... I mean MAINLINE's great, but DIP for me is my absolute favourite. That is... if you go on the website you'll see Jade and I front and centre on the website wearing DIP.

Jade (Off-Camera) : It's very romantic.

Yas : Very different from MAINLINE as well. It's complete juxtaposition really.

Jade (Off-Camera) : Yeah.

Yas : You've got MAINLINE that's quite edgy and streetwear influenced. And then you've got DIP which as Jade said is just really romantic, very ethereal.

Jade (Off-Camera) : It is, yeah.

Yas : And just soft.

Jade (Off-Camera) : It's very... I would describe it as quite cowgirl, some of the pieces.

Yas : Yeah.

Jade (Off-Camera) : Um... oh what am I trying to say? Like... not the accessories, like the hardware.

Paula (Off-Camera) : Like in Landman

Jade (Off-Camera) : The belt loops and the buttonholes. Yeah like there's a word for all of that stuff.

Paula (Off-Camera) : Landman. You know the girls who, they tend to dress with that kind of look don't they?

Yas : Bit romantic.

Jade (Off-Camera) : Yeah.

Val (Off-Camera) : Very girly aren't they?

Jade (Off-Camera) : Yeah. I mean you're not going to have midriffs out or...

Yas : No. But gorgeous collection. Can't wait for you to see it. It goes live on Thursday at midnight. So...

Jade (Off-Camera) : Technically Friday.

Yas : Technically Wednesday evening but really…

Jade (Off-Camera) : What?

Yas : Yeah. So yeah really excited about that. But yeah keep on the socials because we're going to be posting more and more as the week progresses.

Jade (Off-Camera) : You can buy buyers packs now as well. Although they are not ready. They are a preorder buyers pack. So...

Yas : Yeah.

Jade (Off-Camera) : If you... it might be that you actually see the collection before the lookbooks are released but it'll still be helpful throughout the season if you like to collect them and make notes and see what's coming.

Yas : Definitely. So I am in this season currently. I think this is the last of the RUNDHOLZ MAINLINE Paper Dresses in the Swamp colour way, which is a beautiful smoky bluey grey I'd say. It's a Size Small. It's still as fabulous as ever. Love how lightweight it is because it is literally made out of 100% cotton and it is like that papery cotton voile. So you can easily layer up or...

Jade (Off-Camera) : Not.

Yas : Not in the summer. Like I literally just ran away from this scarf over here. Looks gorgeous actually with the Flamingo Fox hair scarves from DIP.

Jade (Off-Camera) : DIP.

Yas : Just think that soft dusty tone really works with the Swamp colour.

Jade (Off-Camera) : Yeah. We've said she's dressed now like she's on the Titanic just ready to set sail cause she's been to Belfast. I don't know if you know. Yas has been to Belfast. We've not heard anything else. She spoke Irish ever since.

Yas : And I drink Guinness now.

Jade (Off-Camera) : Oh yeah. And now she drinks Guinness. And what's the posh Guinness that you want to try?

Yas : Um... Black Velvet.

Jade (Off-Camera) : A Black Velvet. If you know, you know.

Paula (Off-Camera) : Is it a Black Velvet, Guinness and Black?

Jade (Off-Camera) : Oh dear. That's embarrassing.

Yas : No that's what I have. Which I was quite embarrassed to order. Apparently it's not the thing.

Yas : Yeah. That's Guinness and Black.

Jade (Off-Camera) : Sorry Paula. I've had a lot of Paula today. I've been working with her so forgive me.

Paula : Do you know what she said to our clients? "I'm going to have to have a drink tonight. What a day I've had." I said that's really nice. Really nice. So I've gone with the SORT AARHUS Fango Boot. Nice zip at the side. I'm in Size 38 and a Half. I usually would be 38 but we are running down in sizes because as you know we are at half price so bit of a no brainer really if you looking for some boots. And I put them on with the AEQUAMENTE Pant Size 36. And they've got an elasticated back. These are my favourite pant. I've got loads of these now. What was I going to say? Yes, check your pockets but you won't find any loo rolls. In joke that is by the way. PAS DE CALAIS Shirt. Last one. Size 40. But I just thought it gives it that edge.

Jade (Off-Camera) : Also it's a little bit feminine so it kind of feminizes it slightly. It's really lovely. It softens it. Yeah. Have an eye soften. See where I see to be honest.

Paula : Yeah.

Jade (Off-Camera) : You didn't say that. You said edges it up didn't you?

Paula : No. Softens it.

Jade (Off-Camera) : Did you?

Paula : Yeah.

Jade (Off-Camera) : I didn't hear that. Sorry. I don't know what I'm listening to here. Something's clearly not me. Going in one ear and scrambling up somewhere.

Paula : Yes so PAS DE CALAIS Jacket. It is Size 44 but I love the fact it is oversized. That's the back. It's a lovely wool.

Jade (Off-Camera) : You look like you... like one of those really sophisticated ladies that goes to the pub after the hunt. One of them. You know from off of off of the olden days when there was a hunt. Maybe they still do that do they?

Paula : So yeah this outfit. I'm gonna stick with the pant and the shoes but I'm gonna show you how different these can look with a different top. Okay so we have another vision.

Yas (Off-Camera) : Claire's comment has really made me laugh. She said is the RUNDHOLZ as complicated as the Autumn Winter with the 3 million shades of Lagoon? No. It's not that bad. More straightforward.

Val: Luckily it's quite straightforward. So Lala and I that's...

Jade (Off-Camera) : Well to be honest if you get in a pickle without any help whatsoever...

Val : We should be alright with this next season shouldn't we?

Paula : I think so. Yeah yeah.

Val : A gorgeous sort of desert tan. And then you soften it with just look...

Jade (Off-Camera) : Those are suede so different and they are not perforated obviously.

Yas (Off-Camera) : Do you have those?

Val : No I'm in a size too big. I've got the Black ones on. They... I cannot tell you how comfortable they are. They're absolutely amazing for comfort. A really good look. They make your feet look very long which I love. So I've put the Sancta... no is who's this? SANCTAMUERTE?

Lydia (Off-Camera) : Is it LA VACA LOCA?

Jade (Off-Camera) : LA VACA LOCA.

Val : LA VACA LOCA Jacket. They're coming up big cause this is Extra Small. Just a great shape. It's so... it is Japanese-y isn't it? It's just lovely.

Jade (Off-Camera) : Love the trousers. I think you would look lovely in a neckline that was a little bit lower.

Val : Yeah. Well maybe if I undo it cause I've got treble chins.

Jade (Off-Camera) : No. I wasn't gonna say that. Just to balance. Yeah that's nicer because it balances...

Val : It is what it is. There you go.

Jade (Off-Camera) : Yeah. That's nicer.

Val : Yeah.

Jade (Off-Camera) : Yes.

Yas (Off-Camera) : I love the jacket. I think the jacket's gorge.

Jade (Off-Camera) : It's very very smart isn't it?

Val : Isn't it?

Jade (Off-Camera) : Yeah.

Val : That's what this pant's done to me. I found the pant and it's just inspired me for all these different looks. There you go. Right. Who's next? Jadey.

Yas (Off-Camera) : Who's excited for preorder? I'm excited. Thank you very much. Are you excited? For preorder? Yeah. No?

Jade : I'm so excited. I'm scared. I'm scared. No I am excited. I am excited. And actually, like you were talking about what we were talking about earlier with the collections, I was immediately most excited about DIP when we went to see it. It was like we were gushing. Yet as time's gone on I've got more and more interested in the MAINLINE. I think that obviously it's six months since we viewed the collection so obviously current... current living... you know...

Yas (Off-Camera) : Current affairs.

Jade : I was gonna say current affairs but no that's not right. Like we change as the season progresses. So six months ago Jade compared to now Jade is more excited about MAINLINE. It's weird. The MAINLINE's very bold in its colours and as Yas said very streetwear kind of more smart casual in a way.

Yas (Off-Camera) : It's got some floaty bits in it as well though that softens those kind of...

Jade : Yeah. It's a bit more Ibiza. You know like a White jean with a floaty top. Little bit of a tuck in. Blue, White. Yeah yeah yeah yeah.

Yas (Off-Camera) : That's my favorite. Yeah.

Jade : Little floaty jacket. So that viscose fabric that's a bit silky. A lot of that.

Yas (Off-Camera) : Takes on... it's quite strong in the colors isn't it that viscose? So it's...

Jade : So we've got real bold pops. So if you are a bold poppy person, the MAINLINE's gonna be for you. The DIP's romantic and it reminded me, my biggest take from it was the pale Blue colour which is heavily bought into from us cause we really like that. It was... it's called Sky and it's like a cloudy dye. And it reminded me of a Michelangelo painting. You know the sky in a Michelangelo? It was very cloudy and that's just all it was giving me. And then there's elements of tapestry which bring in the whole cowboy kind of influence.

Yas (Off-Camera) : Pastoral scene.

Jade : Hardware. That's the word I was trying to think of earlier. The hardware. So all the like metallic bits and the belt loops. It was... it's very kind of cowgirl but then also really lacy and roman... it's just... you'll see. It's gorgeous. Really gorgeous. And I've bought and so has Yas pieces of both and they're both quite starkly different.

Yas (Off-Camera) : But there are pieces that go with each collection. Like the White denim goes...

Jade : Yeah. You can put outfits together with elements of both. But if you wanted to create quite varied looks and go kind of quite feminine in one direction and then your little bit more, as I call it fun, but yeah bold in the other, then you can completely buy into them differently which is... I like that. I like that they can kind of offer different things. Yeah because...

Yas (Off-Camera) : Yeah I think that's a good point.

Jade : Nice isn't it? And then we never talk about the BLACK LABEL, which is really bad of us. It's not that we don't like it or we forget about it. It's just that obviously the DIP and the MAINLINE are the more artistic collections so we're always more kind of excited about the detail and just... just the way that it's been adapted.

Yas (Off-Camera) : The artistry behind it.

Jade : Yeah. It feels more handmade and hand like crafted and it's got... it's definitely got more of Carsten's signature on it. Whereas the BLACK LABEL is a little bit more like...

Yas (Off-Camera) : Every day maybe? A little bit more every day? Easy every day.

Jade : Yeah. Easy. Let life style easy. It's not as um... there's not as many finish like yeah it's not hand finished in the same way. But it's still gorgeous. We've still ordered pieces for ourselves so it's not any lesser. It's just different isn't it?

Yas (Off-Camera) : I think a lot of the BLACK LABEL colours will work with the DIP. Definitely. The BLACK LABEL colours are in a Green palette. We've got Tree...

Jade : Forest. Grass. Grass. No Forest. Lime and Mint.

Yas (Off-Camera) : Lime. Yeah. So all Greens but also some neutrals so very nice. Anyway I'm gonna shut up because I'm boring everyone. But we have got some MAMA B I'm showing you tonight. This is...

Jacket, obviously the scarf you can see it's RUNDHOLZ BLACK LABEL. It's the Light Grey. It's got all this detailing. And I just thought that finished the outfit off quite nicely. And the jacket... I think it's Cimone.

Paula : It is.

Jade : Is it? Good. Cimone not Small. It is perfect.

Paula : Talking of Forester and MAMA B...

Jade : Tada!

Paula : So talking of Forester and MAMA B, I've remained wearing... I've remained wearing? That sounds about right doesn't it? Forester Trouser AEQUAMENTE and Forester. And I put on MAMA B. Same jacket as Jade but obviously it's in Luna. Extra Small. And the Azimut coat in Medium. Is it this one you've got?

Yas (Off-Camera) : I've got the Romi. Oh the Romi with the collar.

Paula : But it's a very tough decision between the two.

Yas (Off-Camera) : Yeah.

Paula : It's a wool. It's very very lightweight but warm. I think that's important because I remember when when my mother was alive she couldn't bear anything heavy on her. And we have lots of ladies who come in and say oh I don't want anything that's heavy. This is as light as but as warm as as well. So it's a bit of a no brainer. I'm in Size Medium so there's plenty of room.

Jade : Gorgeous colour.

Paula : It's beautiful. And you know with these dark nights and damp I just want a bit of colour. Um and um I just love this and I know you love this colour don't you? Lydia loves this.

Jade : It's an expensive colour isn't it?

Paula : Yeah. Oh. Of course. Smacks of money.

Jade : It does.

Paula : Have we got anybody else wearing anything or are we done?

Jade : No we're done now Paula.

Paula : Yay! Going home.

Jade : I've had enough.

Paula : Thank you.

Val : What? Your jacket's just folded over slightly. You've had enough 

Jade : I've had enough yeah.

Yas : We are still live.

Jade : Yeah. That's alright. I'm telling the customers. I've had enough. Got a two and a half year old that I have to wrestle for the next two hours.

Paula : Oh gosh.

Jade : What do they always used to say to you? It's easier at work.

Paula : What's work? Why? 

Well normally I come to work for a break but uh she's been with me today.

Paula : Oh and me. So the deadly duo have been in.

Jade :  So I'm looking forward to a bit of a break with Minna.
