LIVE SHOW TRANSCRIPT

Jade : Hello everybody. So, it's a Monday, as you'll probably know. Lydia and I are in the shop and we thought we'd just have a little mess about really. So, we're just going to basically have a bit of a chat and just show a few bits off, but it's not really a serious live show. We're just kind of... we're both feeling a bit cold to be honest, a bit meh, a bit cold. And we thought what we should do when it's a bit cold and a bit meh is show lots of warm things. Because not only that will help us, but hopefully it's what you're thinking about buying as well at the moment, so hopefully it'll help you make your selections because basically it's absolutely brassic outside. Freezing cold. And it's just happened kind of out of nowhere hasn't it?

Lydia (Off-camera ) : Literally overnight.

Jade : Yeah. Yesterday it was ten degrees, now it's two.

Lydia (Off-camera) : Horrible.

Jade : But I I could feel it coming yesterday. I could feel the chill in the air. It was like an underlying... I mean I don't even know if that's a thing. When I checked on the on the car and it said it was ten degrees I was like horrified that I was as cold as I was. I was like, doesn't make a lot of sense. Anyway, we're here. Welcome winter. It's happened. So... knitwear, coats, scarves... all of them come at me at once because one jumper and one coat is just not enough at the minute. It's just too cold. I don't know whether physiologically I've changed into a snowman, but something weird is happening. I'm freezing all the time. So, I will get through this outfit very quickly because I'm kind of wearing my own. I wanted to stay in my own clothes so it didn't feel so freezing and then I'll slowly undress as the show goes on. So, what I wanted to show was that the Mira Pants by MAMA B are such a great buy because they're really easy to throw on with different collections. I've been wearing them with other MAMA B pieces, but also I've got the ANNETTE GÖRTZ blazer that I've been wearing them with, and now I'm trying them here with more of a RUNDHOLZ vibe, and literally they work with everything. So they're like a kind of champion trouser that works with all the other collections. It's not so in your face or it's not got such a big statement piece going on that they won't easily go with other items, but it's got a brilliant shape of its own that it's a great standalone trouser too. So it's a really good purchase. And they retail at £149 which I think for a MAMA B trouser is actually on the lower end because there is some that go up to sort of £225. So I think they're an absolute brilliant buy. You have them?

Lydia (Off-camera) : I do.

Jade : I have them. 

Lydia (Off-camera) : I think we were the only staff members that actually did it. That were smart enough to think I need them

Jade : You did it because you’re smart I did it because I just stole them in the moment. So actually, no, Lydia is the only one that's smart. They're a bit like Bianco in the shape. I would say they're slightly slimmer. Not quite as...

Lydia (Off-camera) : They're less buallooned, but they've got that seam detail that just makes a really nice shape at the bottom. And then you've got the addition of the pocket. And I just, I love the pocket.

Jade : It's not going to be for everyone because it is a little bit combat-y, but I think if you can, like, have a little go with it... it's nice. It's actually really lovely. These are my own, so if they have grown slightly...

Eve (Off-camera) : Sorry, Mandy says "Monday Bonus, hello ladies." And Claire says "It's not cold enough for me."

Jade : Claire! What?!

Lydia (Off-camera) :It's not cold enough?

Jade : Oh my god. I hate it. It makes me angry. You can tell if it's cold because I'm in a really bad mood because just being cold makes me cross.

Lydia (Off-camera) : I had to get my ice scraper out the car this morning, Jade.

Jade : Eww.

Lydia (Off-camera) :The ice scraper.

Jade : And then you get wet and then that gets colder.

Lydia (Off-camera) : Cold.

Jade : No. It's not for me.

I've got the scarf on of the season in my opinion because it ties so many colours together it's kind of mental. So it's the RUNDHOLZ MAINLINE…

Lydia (Off-camera) : We're both sporting it actually.

Jade : We're both sporting a version of this. This one's without the woollen back. Because it's quite a lot of scarf anyway. Because of the size of it.

Lydia (Off-camera) : I mean, mine is half a scarf which is manageable for me.

Jade : Like, it's just... it's gorgeous. It's brown, it's cream, it's grey, it's black. It could even be navy. There's so many different colours in it, it's just absolutely brilliant. It goes with everything. So... and because of how big it is, it's actually quite warm. Because look, that's quite a lot of fabric. So when you're wrapped and all cozied up in that... and obviously it's not itchy at all because it's not a woollen scarf. It's really cozy and lovely. So there's him.

Then I've gone for the... Black Wash? Or Turf Wash Black? Or something... I'll tell you in a second. But it's the denim jacket. This is actually a medium because I've put it on over a BLACK LABEL knit so I needed it to be slightly bigger. So obviously if you are thinking of purchasing one, make sure you think about what you're going to wear it for. What's its purpose going to be? Because if you want it fitted to the body and just like, you know, a MAMA B Boabab little top or something small underneath, you want it fitted. But if you are hoping to put knits underneath, size up and then you can do that. Let me tell you what the colour is. There's so many versions. You can see it's kind of quite grungy in its finish. The colour... Black Gloss. There you go. Black Gloss. Hang it up as I go like a good girl. Made quite a lot of mess today in the store, I'm going to get in a lot of trouble tomorrow from the girls. But I'm not scared. Because Steph's away so... can't do anything to me. Ha.

So this is BLACK LABEL, Little knit zip up. Really easy, really cute. We loved these when we went buying didn't we? Everyone went bonkers for them. The code on this is 3487103. It's a medium. I'm pretty sure that's probably one of the only ones left because they have sold so well. It came in a lighter grey as well, I think they're completely gone now. So if you do like this, don't mess about. Because there's not many left. And then obviously, obviously, as per usual, the Baobab underneath. These are just brilliant. They're just a little bit of an underpiece. It means that you can wear... look at this as like your base outfit. So your Mira pant, your Baobab, your boot, you can literally go anywhere with this outfit now. So if I put a red piece then I could go red. Bright pink. Anything. Because a flat Anthracite... I can't believe I've bought grey clothes because I am such a colourful person. The idea of me buying grey clothes, I wouldn't believe you if you'd told me. However, in this fabric... it's just lovely. You can't disagree with that. It just really is. And there is, if you wanted to go matching grey, this is slightly too small for me which is why I didn't wear it originally, but I will show you it just so that you can see it's available, because if you are smaller than me or bigger than me, you'll be alright. There's just no medium left. And it's quite a neat fitting. Like how cute is that? You got this one.

Lydia (Off-camera) : That's mine.

Jade : That's yours, yeah. That's just like a little suited... but it's like a stretch jersey. So it's a suit but it's not, you know, super smart. You can get away with wearing it casually and it just being... I love a suit. So into a suit at the moment, I can't tell you.

Lydia (Off-camera) : Well, it's funny that you've said that you're surprised you've gone for grey. Because I never go for grey either. And I've gone for that suit.

Jade : Yeah.

Lydia (Off-camera) : A grey suit. And I thought, what... what am I doing? But I've not taken it off.

Jade : Yeah. I absolutely love it. I always feel as though like grey is like the other colour. The colour I don't go for. It's like, yeah it comes in black and pink and ... and oh and and grey. And I never would pick it. But I think it's because it's a really rich charcoal and it's quite flattering. And it's almost black but not quite. So you...

Lydia (Off-camera) : It's softer than black.

Jade : Softer than black, yeah. And normally I'd always go brown, but I've already got everything in brown. So I needed like...

Lydia (Off-camera) :You ventured to grey.

Jade :I ventured slightly and I'm happy with it.

Lydia (Off-camera) : I love it.

Jade : Yeah. I think it's lovely. And very versatile. Okay Lydia.

Lydia : My turn. Hello. I have gone for a cozy, sort of everyday, this is what I would pick from the shop for today's weather. I am nice and toasty with my scarf, feel very chic in my coat. This is the Azimut Coat from MAMA B. And I've gone for a little two-tone cream and brown base. So it's all tying together very nicely. My jumper and my coat match and my trouser and my scarf match. So I'm feeling very coordinated. But I'm in love with this colour palette. As Jade said, we always go for brown. I think brown is a favourite among many, many women and the Turf scarf from MAINLINE and the Moro from MAMA B work so well. I actually don't want to take it off. So we've just done a loop around my neck and kept the longer bit to elongate the body. So this is a half scarf which is just a bit more manageable. I think  the full size would definitely be a bit much for me and my personal taste in scarves, but it's absolutely gorgeous. And as Jade said, the print lends itself to so many different colours. So it does really help to tie together all your pieces if you go in for different brands as well. It works really, really good.

So my coat... I am in the Azimut. I absolutely love this colour coat. I have gone for it myself this time but in the other style, which I will hopefully show you in black in a minute. But I just love the raw edges. It was definitely a big toss up for me on which style to go for and I loved the raw edges on this, but then I loved the coloured detail on the Romi. So I'll show you both and you can you can make your choice which is better. But they've got a big split in the back which I think is lovely. You get a little peek of whatever you've got on underneath. And they're so warm. This one is more of a cocoon shape whereas the other is a little straighter in the body but I absolutely adore that. Let me hang that there.

So underneath, I've gone for a very, these are sort of like staple styles from MAMA B. We've got the Emotiva which we've seen before. They've got splits on the side which is really lovely. Easy access to your pockets which is always nice. And then on the bottom I've got the Lipsia Trouser in the Moro colour. These are a little similar because they've got the same seam detail on the bottom to create that gorgeous shape to the Myra but these are a little longer, straighter in their cut. I think they're really flattering on elongating your legs because I've not got a very long leg. I'm 5'1". I'm very short and these I feel like do some magic because I actually feel quite tall and lengthened in these which is lovely and they're really comfortable. Stretchy at the waistband, fully elasticated and pockets. They're in the gorgeous like jumbo cord fabric. Which is just so cozy. You feel elevated but also so fluid and free and not restricted at all. But yeah, these are the Lipsia and I love them. Aren’t they nice? Then I've got the Moro Boot on my feet from SORT AARHUS. They are my own so  ignore any scuffs 'cause I think I've got mud on them but these are Gasoline T.Moro from SORT AARHUS. Lace up classic and they're so comfortable and very lightweight as well. But yeah that's me.

Jade (Off-Camera) : I can't do my boots up Lydia, so sorry.

Lydia : I know. I know, I can see. I'm going to do a full change I think. I'll show you the other colour the Classic Black MAMA B Coat.

Eve (Off-camera): Claire Goodchild said "I'm a true winter gal, I hate summer."

Jade (Off-Camera) : Oh, there's something wrong with you, Claire!

Lydia : I do love autumn winter fashion and the clothes. I'm a sucker for a jumper, a coat... I love the clothes but when it actually gets this cold it can be a bit of a shock to the system. I definitely wasn't ready for this waking up this morning. 

Jade (Off-Camera) : No. I don't like it.

Lydia : Don't like it.

Jade : I don't understand people that like the cold. Why? I like going skiing when it's cold cause you can like wear every single layer and also the sun's shining so it gets quite warm. But otherwise nah. I do like a kind of crispy cold day in England when it's... when the sun's... like I say, the sun's out so it's warm but crisp.

Okay. This is inspired by a client that came in today. We do do personal appointments on a Monday. So I had a lovely friend come in for a little bit of a shop. And she picked these pieces out and I thought, d'you know? I really like that. I don't think I've had that on yet. So hence... so yeah basically we don't do any work in terms of putting outfits together, we just steal the ideas from the clients. That's how we do it. It's all them.

So this is SORT AARHUS. And the reason I've gone for it is because it's knitted on the bottom as well as the top. So if you're thinking warmth, that's the way to go. Like full knitwear. So, it's this funny skirt because it's got a fold over. So can you see it folds over, which can either be incredibly unflattering or incredibly flattering. But you have to play with it a little bit. So I've undone this and created this V. So it was all done up, and I sort of felt like a little um... pig in blanket that was just gonna p... like come out of its little sausage skin. Just because it just wasn't giving me a good line. So I did a little V, which is very trendy at the moment having that double... double hem waist thing going on. Double waist. That's it. Thank you. Crikey. Losing my mind. Um... and then you've got like the buttons up the front of the skirt. You've got a V at the bottom as well. So you've got V at the bottom, V here, so flattering. And then the jumper, I haven't... if you put it over the top... sorry, flash of belly... then you've got bulk here, which isn't quite right. That's not quite the look. So what I did, I thought okay, let's tuck it in here and at one side so that it you've got that straightness, but then have it out here and at the bum. Because the bum could do with a little bit of help. Still a bit rolly there. So you see I've kind of created a look that works for me with just a few little tweaks. I think it's not an outfit that you can put on unless you are really slim and then you could just put it on, job's a good'un, you're ready to go. If you are a bit curvier and have to sort of, you know, make a few adjustments, that's fine. But I've done that. So if you love this look, have a go, but you might just have to mess with the buttons, have a little play with different lengths of a sweater. And we worked out today, if you love this skirt, but the Sort Aarhus sweaters are just not right for you in the shapes because there's only a couple of shapes, you could do that colour as well. That's a really nice contrast. In fact it's so nice I'm gonna just slip it on because I don't want to just describe it, I just want to show you. Size wise, the skirt I'm wearing is a small. And the jumper, cause they're a neat fit and I am busty, is a medium. But I'm just gonna put this on because I think it'll look really nice. And I think it will be altogether an easier outfit for a lot of women. Obviously I did have to do some faffing with the buttons of the skirt to make it work. Whereas this, that's just gonna hang over and it's way less fuss. So if actually you're saying I love the skirt, I love the idea of the knitted skirt but all that faffing just to get, you know, to... or you have got bits around here that you need to cover up, then you might just prefer this guy. Can you wear the skirt all the way up? Oh that's my actual boob. Sorry about that.

Eve (Off-camera) : What's that jumper called Jade?

Jade : I think it's Dina. Or is it Zapola? Lydia will know. She's like Mama B encyclopedia.

Lydia (Off-camera) :  Let's see it Jade.

Jade : Hang on. Let me get my apron. Yeah so you can do that and then it's less bulky.

Lydia (Off-camera) : Is it Dina or Zita?

Jade :  Right, I know what it is. So...

Eve (Off-camera) : I think it's Dina.

Lydia (Off-camera) : Is it Dina?

Jade :  Nope.

Lydia (Off-camera) : Dina's not got the high neck.

Jade :  Go on Lyd.

Lydia (Off-camera) :Ooh!

Jade : You know!

Lydia (Off-camera) : Ooh you're testing me!

Jade :  You know!

Lydia (Off-camera) :Zita.

Jade : : Yay! It's Zita.

Lydia (Off-camera) :Was that cute?

Jade : Let's see.

Speaker 3 (Off-camera): I like that.

Lydia (Off-camera) : I like that.

Jade : Maybe a slightly shorter jumper. But hiding that back bit because that's where it looks like then I've got a bit of a... a roll going on because I've got knicker line. But I'm looking at Lydia but I am talking to you at once. But... something... It's very nice this skirt actually isn't it? I have got very aggressive knickers on. So you know this line here? It's because the banding on my knickers is like acts... it's like ultra tight. You know like... I don't... I don't know why actually because it just makes everything look unflattering cause I get these like lumps either side. What's that about? That's not flattering. Why you done that to me? Anyway, yeah. We are where we are. I like this look. This is an extra small by the way. Gone off piece now. I'm using this though... for my next outfit. It's coming.

Lydia : Oh, I've wrapped up.  I've properly wrapped up. I've gone for a monochrome look from MAMA B. And I've added a BLACK LABEL Scarf because I've actually fallen in love with these ruffle scarves. I think they're really really lovely. Because I saw Liesa style one and you did the other day Jade and I just... I think they're a really nice elevated scarf. And the black... black accessories in general, especially scarves, sell out so so quick. I don't think we've got any fleece from MAMA B. This is a fantastic alternative which just has a little bit more about it than just a plain black scarf. So this is BLACK LABEL I will give you a code because there are a few. 3897710. And this outfit is what I wish I had on today. I think for the weather it is, temperature that lends itself to layers. If you haven't got your coat out yet, I don't know what you're doing.  So yeah. That's the scarf. Very long and you've got the ruffles on both sides. I love it.

So I've done a little bit of a layer and I don't think I've layered these pieces together before but I've got the Romi Coat on as promised. So this is the other style from uh... MAMA B. Which is a little straighter in the body. You've got a collar at the neck which I just... it smartens it up a little bit I think adds some cleaner lines compared to the Azimut coat. And it's just so cozy. You can't beat a wool coat in the in the winter but it's a really nice weight, it's not too heavy. And just quite flattering. Doesn't feel like I'm being swallowed by a big massive coat. So that's the Romi in black. One second.

And then underneath I've actually layered up with a Sibilla coat as well. So these are a little lighter than the Romi and the Azimut wool. These are like a velvet finish which just adds to like the luxe feel, feel really special in these. And it's a longer length which usually I'd stay away from. But I think I'm a convert to a longer line jacket or coat. I'd usually be allergic to them but I'm really really enjoying them this season. You've got two front facing pockets on this and of course the beautiful print from MAMA B in the monochrome colour which I just... it lends itself to quite a classic look compared to the other colour ways that we've got. That is an extra small. And it fits me well.

And then I've gone for one of my favourites that I've not really shown a lot, is the Isili. And it's because it's got a hood. I love a hood. And it's...

Jade (Off-Camera) : I think that's gorgeous. I think it's dead cute.

Lydia : I love them. Absolutely love them. Really wish I'd gone for black in this because I think it's just really easy.

Jade (Off-Camera) :  It's like an everyday essential wear.

Lydia : Yes, 100%  and it's in the MAMA B fleece which is so so cozy. Definitely what you want as your base this weather. It just keeps you... it feels like a warm hug. And on the bottom, going still sticking with classics, is the Bianco V. So these are your classic balloon shape from MAMA B. And they're in a very fine needle cord so it follows through that gorgeous texture from the Sibilla. You've got pockets. An elasticated waistband which you get with most MAMA B styles. So it just... it's pure comfort. I don't feel like I'm wearing anything. And they just take you anywhere especially in the black. And I never go towards the black because I love the brown and the Cipolla so much this time but I think it's just very classic, very easy. You'll be able to wear it with everything else that you've got in your wardrobe.

Jade (Off-Camera) : I think that whole outfit looks amazing on you.

Lydia :  It's gorgeous.

Jade (Off-Camera) : I like it when Yaz wears all grungy stuff. I think it's because you're both very pretty girls like very feminine and then you wear very grungy like just black. It's like... it looks so cool.

Lydia :  I like it.

Jade (Off-Camera) : Really cool.

Lydia :  And then I've gone for the same Classic Lace up Boots from SORT AARHUS but in black this time. And they're just... when I say they are so comfortable, I haven't had to wear mine in. I haven't had any problems wearing them. Like I've just had them and had them on my feet constantly since. And they're so lightweight. They are probably one of the lighter weight soles these are because they're just so simple. But they go with everything. Literally any winter outfit, if you've got these in black or brown, you you're set basically. You don't need any other footwear. But that's me.

Jade : Okay so, I've got my little jumper on as I said, I borrowed it for this outfit. I just I love this little fleece co-ord. It's like loungewear but taken to the most premium level. I absolutely love it. And I would definitely wear it out and about. So MAMA B, you've nailed it here. 

This is the DIP Jacket which we've shown you loads and loads and loads. I do know. But it's because it's my favourite colour. And today we were talking... I was talking to this client about pinks. And I just said my favourite has to be the Flamingo. I just absolutely love it. I can't get enough of it. So this is a large so it is a little bit big. But then you know if you want to wear it as an outerwear piece as a coat, then does it matter that it's that little bit big? It might not be as flattering like as nipped in if it would be as if you were wearing it as a, you know, a fitted jacket. But if you think of it as your outerwear coat then I don't think that matters so much because you get the option to put lots of heavier things under it and just keep you warm and it just looks really really cool. I told you I love Flamingo but actually like look I've had my nails painted to actually match. Like how daft is that? That's how much I love it. I just love dusky kind of vintagey pinks so much. So yes this is DIP.

Now obviously you are all sat at home thinking I'm watching a show and I'm learning about clothes and I want to buy them but Black Friday's just around the corner. We know. We can't tell you what's in the Black Friday sale... offer... whatever we call it because we don't know yet because we're still having ongoing talks. But what I can absolutely categorically tell you is that MAMA B will not be in it at all. So whilst we are showing you items of MAMA B, you don't need to hesitate to make any purchases because as a collection it's not allowed to go to sale. So I'm giving you that heads up now so if you are thinking about this outfit and you are wondering cause we're getting asked a lot now obviously because it's just over a week away. I can tell you that MAMA B absolutely won't be in anything. The other brands I cannot deny nor confirm at this point.

What's this one then? Oh we did this. It's still Zita. These trousers now. They're not flattering at the top. Not unless you are an athlete. There's gonna be bumps. It's true. Look. This. There's gonna be. Because it's fleece in a trouser. Look. Jiggly bum. You're gonna see every bit of jiggle. Wear a longer piece with it. The idea isn't to have the whole trouser out. As long as you've got your skinny items to there, you're fine. And then it's flattering and they hang off you. So don't be terrified of them because I was, trust me when I put them on. It was like... oh that's not a look. I don't need to see that. And then I put a top on and I was like "Ah! Okay. Now they're a brilliant pant." Okay. But yeah, fleece at the top when it's clingy isn't gonna be... isn't gonna be a fun time. So just don't look in the mirror for that bit. It's true though isn't it? Crikey, I’ve had a baby.

That colour would look ultra beautiful as well. I'm wearing this today, the same one but with the neckline. I bloody love this jumper. I just love it. It's Turf. It's dark brown. It's my favourite fabric in the Turf because obviously the Turf comes out in so many different colours depending on which item you're looking at. I'll just show you for example. So this is Turf. Bit smoky purple. This is Turf. Very dark brown. You can see it comes up very differently. This Merino wool mix I just think the colour is divine. And me and Yas have both got the same jumper and literally we live in it. Absolutely love it. Kirsty's got it as well. So yeah. We haven't got any of the high neck ones available anymore but we do have this one. And it's just roomy. Absolutely roomy.

Over to you Lyd. Ooh my god! That's not MAMA B!

Lydia : I know!

Jade : Ooh she's... she's...

Lydia: I know. I've surprised you but I absolutely love it. This is a Hannoh Coat. And it's the colour. The colour of this like calls my name. Every time I see it, it's absolutely beautiful. And Hannoh coats are just unmatched. You can't get better than a Hannoh coat in my opinion, this is a lighter weight coat. So not too thick. So Claire, for you who isn't cold enough yet, that would be a good one. I've stuck with the BLACK LABEL Scarf just to add a bit of drama and warmth. But isn't it nice Jade?

Jade (Off-Camera) : It's gorgeous.

Lydia : Isn't it?

Jade (Off-Camera) : It's very arty.

Lydia : I love I love them. And the... there we go. The belt at the back, that detail is gorgeous. You've got pockets. You've got like a little double pocket effect at the front. I've I've put it over the exact same base that I had on before, so Bianco and Isili from MAMA B. But because they've this coat has got a darker colour button I think it just pulls through quite well and finishes off it just jazzes up a a plain black base really really well. And it is a very autumnal winter colourway which I don't think you could get better.

Jade (Off-Camera) : So this is another one of my favourite colours so I thought this is what I’ll end in. It’s the Sun Colour, it’s one of the fox hair knit jumpers. Absolutely gorgeous. Beautiful. Beautiful. Beautiful. I can tell you that these won't be in Black Friday sale as well. I'm very good at being able to tell you what isn't. Not so good at telling you what is. Cause still not confirmed but I do know a few categorical no-goes so again if you want to buy one of these you don't need to worry about it being reduced at any point in the near future.

So this is of course sun... it... this is the one without the double neck which is the one that sold much quicker actually. So this is obviously the preferred. I think it's cause there's more you can do in terms of options with it. It's just... I don't know how he does the colours to be honest. I don't know how he gets them this beautiful but there you go. It's just divine. It's like vintagey... oh it's so nice. This is Crab Techno two-piece. All the colours in it are gorgeous. It picks up the orange that I was wearing. The shape's great. This jacket's a medium. Which is quite a surprise because I was wearing the extra small or the small and they work too. So not really sure how that works but I think maybe just fits easier on the boob. I am wearing a bra that doesn't fit me properly today though so I think I am looking a bit strange. But the trousers are an extra small, they are perfect. They've got pockets. They've got the drop crotch. It's just it's an adorable collection the DIP. And I'm not going to go on about it anymore, everybody knows, we show it you everyday but this is just a particular fave. Look how Nice It looks with Turf, everything looks good with Turf! So that's it for our weird crazy Monday show. Isn't it Lydia? We're warmer know though. So we're all feeling a bit better. We've got the aircon on. 

Lydia : and the layers help.
