Wrapped in Warmth

Now that we’re well into autumn, outerwear has become more than a necessity, it’s the defining layer of expression. For AW25, our team at House Of Valerie have curated a collection that reimagines warmth through structure, silhouette and touch. From sculpted wool coats to redefined puffers, every piece has been chosen for how it moves, feels and lasts. This is outerwear designed to be lived in, shaped by craft and elevated through detail - the art of staying warm, beautifully.

Sculpted in Wool

There is something innately elegant about wool. It carries weight without heaviness, softness without fragility, and when sculpted with intention, it becomes the cornerstone of refined winter dressing.

The RUNDHOLZ MAINLINE Knitted Coat captures this balance effortlessly. Crafted from a luxurious blend of Merino wool and yak, it combines tailoring with texture in a way that only RUNDHOLZ can. The double-breasted front and oversized lapels create a striking yet wearable shape, while the raw edges add the brand’s unmistakable deconstructed touch. In Bone, a soft winter cream, the piece is minimalist yet statement-making. It layers beautifully over monochrome knits or tonal separates, offering versatility that feels instinctively modern. This is ladies designerwear at its most intelligent: structured, sensual, and endlessly wearable.

For those drawn to darker palettes, the ZILBERMAN Coat presents a sculptural counterpart. Its oversized silhouette and wool construction create a sense of ease, anchored by considered details: poppers, a sharp collar, and generous 3D pockets that bring dimension to its surface. In Black, it becomes a foundation piece: the coat you reach for when the day demands both polish and comfort. Layer it over soft tailoring or textured knits for a refined, architectural look that feels perfectly suited to AW25.

From Italy, MAMA B introduces warmth with the Azimut Coat: longline, tactile and effortlessly elegant. In Naturale, a neutral tone reminiscent of oatmeal and stone, it carries the subtle texture of its wool mix with understated confidence. The tortoiseshell buttons and gentle vent detail at the back speak to the brand’s talent for merging simplicity with refinement. It’s the coat that belongs to quiet weekends and city mornings alike, especially when paired with cropped trousers and fine knits in earthy shades.

Colour makes its mark, too, through RUNDHOLZ DIP. The oversized wool coat in Lagoon brings a breath of brightness to winter’s palette. Its muted blue hue is distinctive yet restrained, catching light with sophistication rather than statement. Dropped shoulders and frayed edges add a modern looseness, while sculptural pockets provide balance and weight. For those who prefer warmth in tone, Light Flamingo, a dusty, romantic pink, softens the silhouette, creating harmony between colour and cut.

Finally, MAMA B’s Romi WS Coat in Nero anchors the edit with its classic Italian restraint. Oversized and unforced, it redefines simplicity, offering that perfect throw-on layer that completes rather than overpowers. The wool fabric gives depth to black, revealing its texture with every movement.

Elevated Puffer

Puffers this season are anything but ordinary. For AW25, they emerge as sculptural outerwear: contemporary, functional, and quietly luxurious.

HANNOH WESSEL’s Marianne Coat redefines the classic down silhouette. Longline and oversized, it envelops without excess, offering a cocoon of warmth that feels elegant rather than casual. In Navy, it reads timeless and versatile, pairing effortlessly with soft knits and boots. The Sand version lightens the mood, perfect for tonal dressing in winter whites and neutrals. For those who prefer a bolder palette, Vermillion brings a hit of warmth and character, a confident accent that enlivens cold-weather dressing without losing sophistication.

From RUNDHOLZ MAINLINE, outerwear takes on sculptural form. Their Goose-down puffer coat embraces volume as design language, balancing weightless warmth with exaggerated shape. The hood and toggle detailing nod to the season’s concept of “monstrous” form — where scale and silhouette meet. In Dark Bone, the palette leans towards urban minimalism, a stunning neutral that complements soft greys and off-whites. The Turf colourway, meanwhile, introduces deep green undertones that ground the piece in nature, evoking winter forests and earthy calm. Each colour tells a different story but shares the same spirit: outerwear as wearable sculpture.

Colour continues to inspire through RUNDHOLZ BLACK LABEL. The label’s take on the puffer coat translates artistic intensity into everyday wear. The longline, down-filled design pairs warmth with a sense of lightness. In Rose, the coat feels bold and modern, its red hue evoking warmth and vitality; in Lotus, a saturated pink, it moves towards contemporary femininity with strength. For those who prefer timelessness, Black grounds the collection: sleek, versatile, and eternally relevant. Each version reflects the artistry that defines RUNDHOLZ, a masterclass in how ladies designerwear can be practical yet profoundly expressive.

Shorter Styles

Not all coats need to sweep the floor to make their mark. This season, cropped and waist-length puffers add structure and playfulness to winter layering.

The shorter RUNDHOLZ MAINLINE Puffer Coat reimagines proportion with a sculptural hood and exaggerated front pockets. In Turf, it embodies both energy and ease, its deep green tone adding dimension to layered neutrals. The two-way zip and feather filling ensure it remains as functional as it is striking.

From ANNETTE GÖRTZ, the Amo Jacket brings texture and artistry into the mix. Its sunflower intarsia motif softens the technical edge of the puffer, while the adjustable drawstrings at the hem and waist allow for subtle shape play. In Light Brown, the jacket exudes warmth and understated luxury; in Light Green, it adds an unexpected freshness to autumnal palettes, pairing beautifully with cream knits or darker trousers.

HANNOH WESSEL’s Vaya Jacket is another standout. Its oversized cut, detachable scarf, and featherlight feel make it both elegant and practical. Sand embodies understated sophistication, while Vermillion transforms the piece into something vivid and contemporary, perfect for city wear that still feels individual.

Wearable Art

AW25 also celebrates coats as objects of design. Textural, expressive and crafted with precision, these pieces stand as testaments to the artistry of outerwear.

The ANNETTE GÖRTZ Glori1 Coat brings painterly depth through its hand-painted jacquard fabric. Each brushstroke is intentional, creating a unique surface that feels tactile and alive. In Khaki, the muted base lets the handwork speak, ideal for pairing with tailored trousers and boots for a look that’s creative yet composed.

ALEKSANDR MANAMIS delivers opulence through velvet. His floral woven coat balances classical influence with avant-garde restraint, transforming a traditional motif into something quietly decadent. It’s a coat that doesn’t compete with the outfit beneath it, it completes it.

Elsewhere, ANNETTE GÖRTZ’s Kinto Coat plays with tone and texture. In Yellow, it brightens winter’s darker days; in Anthrazite, it channels understated drama. The removable flexible rods at the waist allow for an adjustable silhouette, structure on your terms.

LA VACA LOCA captures emotion through form. The Sueno Coat, with its layered wool construction, shoulder pads and asymmetric hem, brings movement to winter dressing. In Rowan Berry Red, it feels bold yet deeply refined, while Black retains its architectural simplicity. The Sencilla Coat, meanwhile, interprets brocade through modern tailoring - cinched at the back, its fitted form celebrates femininity with a sculptural twist.

Heritage Layer

The season also finds strength in the classics. These are coats that blend time-honoured craftsmanship with contemporary ease, the kind of pieces that anchor a wardrobe year after year.

From HANNOH WESSEL, the Milena Coat in Sepia epitomises quiet luxury. Its cocoon shape, cashmere blend and raw seams create a piece that’s as comforting as it is refined. Layer it with knitwear in creamy tones or textured scarves for an ensemble that speaks softly but with purpose.

AEQUAMENTE’s Crinkle Coat offers a lighter alternative. In Foresta, a rich moss green, it adds organic depth to winter’s neutrals. The cotton mix gives it structure and movement, perfect over wide-leg trousers or layered dresses.

HANNOH WESSEL’s Maxima Coat, in Tobacco, continues this earthy palette. Its tulip shape flatters without constraining, while the deep tan hue feels timeless. And for those who love a touch of heritage pattern, the Mabel Coat in Brown and Maple delivers warmth through herringbone texture - Maple’s burnt orange tone especially captures the spirit of the season.

To close the section, ALEKSANDR MANAMIS once again proves that texture can be timeless. His striped velvet coat brings modern edge to traditional tailoring, offering subtle contrast through movement and sheen.
