SPRING/SUMMER '25

The Linen Edit

At House of Valerie, the change in season always brings with it a breath of fresh air. And this spring, that breeze feels distinctly like linen... Lightweight, breathable, and quietly luxurious, linen is a staple fabric in any lady's designer wardrobe.

If you’re looking for elegant, contemporary pieces to add to your collection, look no further than our linen edit.

From structured jackets and breezy trousers to oversized shirts and floaty dresses, we’ve pulled together the must-haves for warm weather dressing, featuring designers we love: RUNDHOLZ Black Label, RUNDHOLZ Mainline, MAMA B, and ELEMENTE CLEMENTE. Their ranges are all available online and in-store at our clothes shop in Nantwich.

Who sells linen clothing?

We do! At House of Valerie, we curate the best with a focus on premium European labels known for their elevated cuts and quality craftsmanship. RUNDHOLZ Black Label, MAMA B SS25, Elemente Clemente, and RUNDHOLZ Mainline all have a range of beautiful linen pieces this season, and every piece we have in our collection has been handpicked by our team.

Injecting Colour with RUNDHOLZ Black Label

For us, linen is a staple fabric for any summer wardrobe, so we were thrilled to see RUNDHOLZ Black Label’s MALIBU colourway featuring heavily in their SS25 collection. This stand-out hue is inspired by the depths of the sea, and we think it’s just perfect for moments spent on (or dreaming of!) gorgeous ocean views. Whether you’re drawn to it for its vibrancy or for how seamlessly it pairs with neutrals like grey and off-white, this is the colour of the season.

Pair the Malibu linen trousers - with their wide leg cut and flattering pleats - with the matching boxy-fit jacket for a full co-ord that’s equal parts structured and breezy, ideal for warmer days where you still want to look put-together. Prefer neutrals? The jacket also comes in Grey, Navy and Off White, making it the perfect layering piece for capsule wardrobes.

If you tend to lean towards softer silhouettes, the floaty sleeveless top is a classic you’ll be reaching for all summer long. The oversized linen top in Aqua is another standout piece in a gorgeous bright hue, with details like utilitarian back pockets and a scooped hemline adding a subtle touch of drama.

For those searching for an all-in-one look, the RUNDHOLZ Black Label linen dress in Aqua is ideal for long summer days spent in the sunshine. This relaxed-fit piece has three-quarter sleeves and front pockets, so it is both stylish and practical.

Is linen good for summer?

Absolutely. We can’t think of a better fabric. Linen is highly breathable, moisture-wicking, and ultra-lightweight, making it the ideal textile for warmer climates at home or away. However, it’s not all about functionality - it’s about fashion, too. Designers like RUNDHOLZ Mainline and MAMA B have reimagined linen in sculptural, edgy silhouettes that redefine effortless style for SS25.

Celestial Chic with RUNDHOLZ Mainline

For SS25, RUNDHOLZ Mainline has taken linen into the cosmos. Inspired by the Space and Atomic Ages, their Linen fabric group is reimagined in distressed pigment prints, Asteroid and Moon to create garments that feel like wearable art.

Want to celebrate the celestial? Start with the oversized linen blouse in Asteroid Pigment, featuring side vents and mid-length sleeves. We’d style this unbuttoned over a fitted tank, or co-ordinate with the drop-crotch trousers to complete the look. Not a fan of drop-crotch? Choose the balloon-leg trouser for an equally relaxed look, complete with a voluminous silhouette and structured waistline that is both edgy and versatile.

We’d top this off with the cropped jacket, with its boxy cut and vent detail adding some structural edge that transitions seamlessly from day to night. If you’d prefer to mix and match, you could pair the silk-finish Cupro jacket in Asteroid with the linen trousers for a play on textures and tones.

Are linen trousers in fashion?

Yes, and they’re here to stay! Linen trousers are a summer staple, whether you're drawn to breezy wide-legs or architectural balloon shapes. From the classic, relaxed silhouettes in MAMA B SS25 to the edgy, pleated designs in RUNDHOLZ Mainline, linen trousers are both timeless and on-trend.

Easy, Everyday Linen with MAMA B SS25

If you're seeking a balance of comfort and elegance, look no further than MAMA B SS25. Their collection features washed linen finished in a basket technique to create a soft, vintage texture.

Start your day in the wide-leg Pianeta L trousers in Lago, paired with the matching URI L Shirt in the same hue for a co-ordinated, floaty look. Prefer contrast? Try Grezzo with Lago or Alga with Grezzo or mix and match depending on the occasion! We love how the different colourways all work together to create a wide range of looks, perfect for those looking to add some staple pieces to their ladies' designerwear collection. We also love the POLLO A trousers in Grigio, a brand-new shape for MAMA B SS25 that offers a breezy fit with cuffed hems and an elastic waistband.

Complete your MAMA B SS25 collection with the Lucido dress in Grezzo, featuring a drawstring waist and cap sleeves for feminine ease, or layer the Kimchi A waistcoat in Grigio over a cotton tee or sleeveless top for tailored minimalism.

When to wear linen trousers?

For us, the time to wear linen trousers starts in spring. They are the perfect transitional piece when paired with a boxy cotton pullover, or can be thrown on in summer with a sleeveless top or light jacket for cooler nights. Linen trousers can also be worn into early autumn, layered under longline coats. The natural texture and elegant drape of linen trousers make them ideal for everything from dinner and drinks to walks on the beach.

How to wear linen trousers?

One of our favourite things about linen trousers is their versatility. For a polished yet minimalist look, pair wide-leg linen trousers with a cropped structured jacket, like the RUNDHOLZ Mainline jacket in Moon Pigment. We’d pair with simple leather sandals or heels and statement earrings for a relaxed evening look.

If you are looking for a more laid-back look, opt for balloon-leg trousers with a relaxed blouse, such as the Elemente Clemente Tege blouse in Rattan, for an organic, sun-washed feel.

Elemental Neutrals with ELEMENTE CLEMENTE

We just love the earthy neutrals of ELEMENTE CLEMENTE’s SS25 collection, built around muted hues like Rattan, Pearl, and Undyed. The Tege blouse, with its convertible sleeves and dropped hemline, is the ultimate everyday layer. You could pair this with the Maki trousers in matching Rattan for an ultra-cohesive look, or mix and match with pearl-toned Skara trousers for softness.

If you are wearing a looser outfit, consider adding the Kazamar waistcoat in Pearl to bring structure. Its cropped cut, adjustable back tie and button-down design make it a wardrobe essential that can be paired with a range of different pieces year-round.

Looking for a relaxed-fit linen dress? The Gumare dress in Undyed offers a comfortable flowing shape, with subtle vent details and a flattering V-neckline.
